Recent activity and closure of Cambridge office (Oct 2007)

[edit]

No mention of Pace closing their Cambridge office, or any recent company activity... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.121.245 (talkcontribs) 19:22, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is covered in the current version of the article. --trevj (talk) 21:53, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lost history

[edit]

The reference Pace:History no longer seems to work - I can't find a history section on the Pace website - so a number of items are now unreferenced. (I've just tried the Wayback machine, but I can't seem to access their servers at present). One item I'm sure must be wrong is that since Pace was floated in 1996, it can't have been a plc in 1982: I'm pretty sure it was originally "Pace Micro Technology Ltd", and changed to plc some time after 1996. I'm not editing the page myself as I have a potential conflict of interest, but I'd appreciate it if somebody would look at these points. --ColinFine (talk) 13:48, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that as long as the COI was declared and the edits are to the genuine improvement of Wikipedia (rather than to promote own interests or those of other individuals, companies, or groups), such an edit would be OK. I see you've made a few edits, anyway. My (limited) understanding is that any (preferably referenced) edits made by someone decalring a COI are assumed to be made in good faith. As for the lost history, I agree that finding refs is difficult on their site. --trevj (talk) 21:29, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

General company updates

[edit]

Please note that I am an employee of Pace plc and am seeking to make factual changes to the company information. Updates made to general company description, company history and customer list were made by me initially using under the Paceplc username. I have subsequently revised the content with my new username in line with Wikipedia guidelines. I have also reduced the number of customers listed following the undue weight concern. Thank you I don't have time now to compare against the coverage in similar articles here. Therefore, the tag removal is based on assuming the editors around here to be neutral. Ideally, the article should be assessed by a third party... perhaps that will happen in due course. --trevj (talk) 00:06, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
