Talk:One Piece: Grand Adventure
Fact or specualtion
[edit]Please can someone spend some time determining what is real and speculation? Angel Emfrbl 15:10, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Character names in the game
[edit]There are some individuals that insist on editing the names of the various characters that appear in the game to other variants of the name that appear in other parts of the franchise (such as the Japanese variants). Since this article is relevant to One Piece Grand Adventure, the names should remain as they appear in the game regardless of the disputes between what fans consider "official" names in the series.
- After reading over this, and thinking on it, I agree, but the original names should be included in paratheses, and links should connect to the actual page as opposed to a redirect. (Justyn 01:52, 18 September 2006 (UTC))
Voice actors
[edit]Does this game give any kind of voice actor info in the credits or anything? It could help us figure out the VAs for some of the unknown characters like Buggy or Kuro. The Splendiferous Gegiford 18:43, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
American made?
[edit]"One Piece: Grand Adventure for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo GameCube is an American made sequel to the original game" As far as I know, Ganbarion is a japanese company.
Released in the UK?
[edit]Was this relesed in the UK as well as the rest of the EU, or was it another Virign Megastores exclusive like the last one? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by IanC (talk • contribs) 16:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC).
- I can tell you it was released in the UK - but never actually sold... I got a copy (spent £22 just to get it in travel fare). It was only sold in one place in the entire UK and it was second-hand. The complete cost came to something like £50 (roughly) in travel+ purchase. Angel Emfrbl 05:44, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Not FAQ
[edit]Please can we reframe from releasing too much information on the game. Fine details like support types are FAQ material. Wikipedia is not a FAQ. Hell, we shouldn't be listing the characters, but we do. Angel Emfrbl 05:44, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree for the most part, except the characters list. It's pretty much the norm for genres such as fighting games. It allows easy access for one viewing the article to find more information on who is in the game. The S (talk) 15:58, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]Fighting For One Piece is the exact same game as this, but is the Japanese version. Any useful information should be pulled into this article. We don't need a completely seperate article on the same sodding game. The S (talk) 15:58, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- No its not. There are errors on that page, their two different games! the onyl thing thats the same is the artwork on FFOP (Luffy) was taken to be used for Grand Adventure. That page needs to be deleted not merged! Angel Emfrbl (talk) 18:38, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- For anyone who don't believe me: here is Fighting For One Piece (sorry best I could find)
- and here
- Fighting for One Piece is a 2D styled fighting game while Grand adventure is an arena based fighting game (did I use the correct terms here?). Further more, Fighting for One Piece uses full length characters while Grand Adventure uses Chibi-style/Super deformed style for the characters. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 18:48, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter, I redirected the page to where its suppose to be. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 19:03, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Japanese
[edit]I will say this only once...
NO JAPANESE REFERENCES! This one was English only. I don't want to see "Voice Actors" for the charactes because there were none. This is also the only article where "Zolo" has to be used for this reason. Even I don't want to use it... But there is no Japanese version and we can only use whats in the game. Zolo is used in the game... SOOO... T_T Angel Emfrbl (talk) 15:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
No one paying attention
[edit]The names got altered to match the manga even though it says they are meant to be matching the game. 94.168.119.106 (talk) 18:03, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
