I removed Food and Drink Project banner; this is really getting out of the scope of that project. Plantdrew (talk) 02:03, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Asexual reproduction

[edit]

A recent change added that this is a type of asexual reproduction. I've removed that because the endosperm is still fertilized, which technically means that it is sexual reproduction. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:38, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

zygotic embryony

[edit]

Can someone put together a Zygotic Embryony article in Wikipedia? We need this contrast with the Nucellar Embryony article. The main motivations for this are 1.) many people are motivated to grow fruit trees for food and want to understand their options for clonal and non-clonal propagation, and 2) the question of genetic mutation as a mechanism of adaptation to help with this understanding. Can we answer this question about whether genetic mutation is present in Zygotic Embryony but not Nucellar Embryony? Our subconscious minds are trying to make the appropriate connections, to understand what's going on, to guide our choices/strategies in producing our food. Let's put Wikipedia to work for us in this pursuit. Rtdrury (talk) 23:27, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Everyone! I will be adding some content about Nucellar embryony. It is a project for a course I am enrolled in, the Secret sex of Plants! Let me know if what I add is something that should be changed / need to be reconsidered, etc. Epezzuto (talk) 22:55, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Epezzuto[reply]
