Hello fellow Wikipedians - Kindly note that I have respectfully restored this request for an Assessment of the article about this Lyric Tenor from Mexico. User:Smerus in his objections indicates there is "no mention of opera" in the articles. Kindly note that both articles indicate that Nestor Chayres was educated as a Lyric Tenor at the prestigious National Conservatory of Music (Mexico). Chayres was also a member of the Chicago Opera in 1949 (before it was incorporated as Lyric Opera of Chicago) and toured throughout Europe in France, Holland, Norway, Denmark, England and Spain as an operatic tenor. He also concertized as an operatic tenor with the New York Philharmonic under the musical direction of Alfredo Antonini at Carnegie Hall in New York and with the Montreal Symphony. Chayres is clearly recognized for his interpretations of the Mexican bolero, but perhaps these additional contributions to the advancement of Opera on the international concert stage immediately after World War II are worthy of documentation within the WikiProject on Opera. Thanks again for your kind interest and reconsideration and best wishes for the future of Wikiproject Opera. Respectfully104.207.219.150 (talk) 18:03, 8 April 2018 (UTC)PS[reply]
Re: External Audio link - a final attempt is made to provide an acceptable link on archive.org
Hi Fellow Wikipedian editors - Just a quick note - The User:XLinkBot deleted my previous link in the External Audio Box as per Wikipedian guidelines which prohibit links to youtube.com (since it is classified as a commercial wed site). Please accept my apologies in advance - I forgot about this restriction while establishing the link. I have attempted to correct this by providing a link to the same performance of "Granada" as archived on the noncommercial nonprofit website archive.org. I hope that this is permitted under the guidelines. Please forgive my oversight. In the event that this link is also inappropriate kindly note that I shall refrain from attempting any additional corrections. Thanks again for your thoughtful assistance in this regard and best wishes for the continued success of Wikipedia! With best regards----104.207.219.150 (talk) 19:14, 18 June 2018 (UTC)PS[reply]
