Articulated bus

[edit]

I did an internet search and an articulated bus can be called bendibus too. Snowman 14:31, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The company gives them the name 'Bendibus' rather than 'Bendy Bus', would it be best to have it in the article as 'Bendibus' ? - Curran1980 12:31, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buses

[edit]

I have added some picutes of Coventry buses. I am not sure what models they are. Can anyone identify them? Snowman 18:07, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The route 21 articulated bus is a Mercedes-Benz O405GN and the route 19 double decker bus is a MCW Metrobus. Happy to help - Curran1980 20:01, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I will write your names in the captions. I hope to photo some more buses when I see them. It would be good if you could edit then captions, if you know the names of any more buses. Snowman 10:40, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There is not a page for the 0405GN by itself, but there is a page for the 0405 which I have linked. How should the 0405GN be lisited in the wiki? own page or part of 0405 page. I do not know that much about buses, so I have not started any editing on the 0405GN. I have just provided a photo. Snowman 10:54, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Linking both O405N and the O405GN to the Mercedes-Benz_O405 page should be OK for now. I don't think I have good enough knowledge to write specifically about each of them. Curran1980 12:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Park and ride buses

[edit]

Who runs the "park and ride" buses that go to the car park in the War Memorial Park? I have put a picture of one one the "War Memorial Park, Coventry" page. Snowman 08:48, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Travel De Courcey operates the Park and Ride South in Coventry. - Curran1980 18:33, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another table?

[edit]

Would the contact details section look better in a table? Snowman 12:17, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Travel Coventry name change

[edit]

Most enthusiasts will know, National Express Group is currently re branding most of its subsidiaries. As a result, Travel Coventry will soon be called National Express Coventry. Eventually, as Travel Coventry and National Express Coventry will eventually become quite different brands, I have created a new stub article for National Express Coventry.

The idea is that when the name change gradually takes over, all of the current details of Travel Coventry can be transferred to the new article, and the Travel Coventry page put into the past tense - because it will be history essentially! This will avoid future problems if the current Travel Coventry page has the details of the new brand put on it, such as the Travel Coventry information being drowned out by the details of the new brand, or the article getting too long and confusing.

This is why I have taken the new National Express logo out of the info box, and put the old Travel Coventry one back in. I have put the new national express logo onto the new National Express Coventry article I have created.

Hopefully you can why I have done this - to avoid any future problems and to make the two brands clearer to he reader with distinctive internal links.

If you have any ideas or you wish to change it, me leave a message here or my talk page. Thanks, -- Arriva436 (talk) 22:56, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PrimeLines

[edit]

Can the article explain PrimeLines? Snowman (talk) 20:56, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have done this now, I hope that it's OK. Curran1980 (talk) 18:42, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a controversy about the use of land in the construction of the new routes? Snowman (talk) 19:15, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can the price of the buss passes be added? The single fare prices are in. Snowman (talk) 19:13, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History section

[edit]

I think I agree with the editor that put a "no list" on the "History" section. It could probably be written in a paragraph. Snowman (talk) 19:12, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should BendiBus get a section?

[edit]

Having just found an article from the introduction of then-Travel Coventry's Citaros into service on ProQuest, I reckon Travel Coventry/National Express Coventry being one of the few cities in the UK that operated articulated buses as-new is something that warrants at least a paragraph's worth of information, yet I find any mention of BendiBus conspicuously absent beside the image. I reckon it should be brought up, perhaps under its own subheading in a 'Services' section.

The question is, though, does this page warrant a 'Services' section at all? What's some of the most significant bus routes that National Express Coventry operate (i.e. that one Platinum route) since the departure of BendiBus? Surely, BendiBus can't go under 'Network review', it doesn't fit right. Hullian111 (talk) 23:13, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
