Merge attribution
[edit]When merging content, it's important to mark its origins in the edit summary (and/or talk page) so that others can follow the attribution of the work. Sometimes it's worth making a null edit after the fact with a clarifying edit summary just so the attribution can be preserved in the edit history. czar 13:24, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Also the original articles used MDY and AmEng so this one should too (MOS:RETAIN) czar 13:28, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, czar. I can't believe I forgot to do that; I've added the applicable {{split to}} templates above. As for the date and language: the original articles didn't really have much to work off of, so I guess I disregarded the style as such. I simply based it on the Grand Theft Auto V article, which uses DMY and British English (presumably because of Rockstar North's Scottish origin). I'll go through and change it to MDY and AmEng eventually, if no-one else does. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 13:33, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
Incomplete list
[edit]Just to give editors a heads up: The list of songs from the game is incomplete given the recent merging from the original. I would be able to fix it by the new year if no one else gets to it. Happy holidays, guys! GuyHimGuy (talk) 03:34, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- If you're referring to the list of radio stations and songs, then I personally find this to be WP:GAMECRUFT. Not to mention the original list lacked any sources. Also, a huge range of the radio station songs are included on the soundtrack box set anyway, which is covered in this article. – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 04:34, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Aww! I had no idea that guideline existed. Thanks for pointing that out. GuyHimGuy (talk) 02:59, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Incomplete List
[edit]Heads up: The song It WasA Good Day which can be heard in the game's Radio Los Santos is not featured in this article. Kabelo Lesooana (talk) 13:50, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- correction It Was A Good Day Kabelo Lesooana (talk) 13:51, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Kabelo Lesooana: This article is about the soundtrack releases, not the in-game radio stations specifically. – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 13:54, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Rhain Hmm I still feel it's relevant to include the song under - Volume 2:Playback FM/Radio Los Santos but okay.Is it okay to include on the songs article that it was featured in the game? Kabelo Lesooana (talk) 14:03, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Kabelo Lesooana: If the song isn't on the soundtrack, then it shouldn't be listed under that section—"relevant" or not, including it would be straight-up misinformation. If adding the game to the song article, it should be reliably sourced and deemed notable enough for inclusion. – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 14:16, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
