Jerry Wexler
[edit]The Jerry Wexler article says that he "was an enormous proponent of the then-developing Muscle Shoals Sound and founded the fortunes of Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section" but he isn't even mentioned here. -- Beardo (talk) 21:41, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, there is an article here, http://www.encyclopediaofalabama.org/face/Article.jsp?id=h-1448, that might be useful.
Thanks,

There is a lot more info about these musicians
[edit]I did a minor edit using some information from other sources (including Wexler as part owner). However, there is a great deal of additional info about this group at http://www.allmusic.com/artist/the-muscle-shoals-rhythm-section-mn0001352027/biography.
I am more interested in the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio article so I won't do any more editing on this article But someone might want to do so with some of the content from the AllMusic article. Peter K Burian (talk) 18:30, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
Confusion betwee Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and F.A.M.E
[edit]I think some of the recordings listed actually happened at FAME. For instance "Hey Jude" by Wilson Pickett with the solo by Duane Allman is documented on the FAME page. And happened in 1968. Wasn't Muscle Shoals Sound Studio started in 1969?
Repetitive
[edit]This article seems very repetitive. I'll have a go at condensing it if someone else doesn't get to it first. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 04:27, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
