Abilities
[edit]Can we add his abilities as well? Virman1996 (talk) 17:21, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Virman1996: Yes, that can be added under a section named characterization similar to Violet Parr. ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 18:17, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

– A fictional character should be the primary topic. It is the most only known "Bob Parr" till now. 2001:4455:364:A800:4149:88C:9757:6EC7 (talk) 13:36, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Update Per reasons below, they're right that the title name should be Bob Parr (TV producer) instead. 2001:4455:364:A800:991A:E11B:6CAE:3765 (talk) 22:38, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support. As much as I hate placing a fictional character ahead of a living person, the pageviews don't lie, and Bob Parr of The Incredibles is the primary topic. I think Bob Parr (TV producer) would be a better title for the other article, however. 162 etc. (talk) 16:07, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: No comment on the central question, but if the current article at the base name is moved, "producer" is more appropriate than "contractor" (and lowercase should be used). The suggested title makes him sound like someone you might hire to remodel your house, whereas this guy has received six Primetime Emmy Awards. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:31, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support in principle regarding the primary topic but I concur that "producer" is a more suitable dab, and of course it needs to be lower case. Schwede66 17:36, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support But other article as producer. ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 01:44, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support as per above Kpddg (talk) 08:13, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support 2nd, neutral on 1st, the character gets 4,394 views compared with only 127[[1]] for the contractor but PT swaps can cause problems though less so when there are only 2 topics. The qualifier for the contractor should be lower case if that is being used though. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:08, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support 1st, Bob Parr (TV producer) for 2nd per above.--Ortizesp (talk) 16:36, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support moving the second one to Bob Parr (TV producer) first as that is a more recognisable profession to contractor. I also agree in moving the fictional character to base name and use a hatnote in case the reader was looking for the producer. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:26, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Bob Parr → Mr. Incredible – Elastigirl's title is her superhero name, so why not Mr. Incredible? Best to have consistency. —Vozhan (talk • contribs) 2:50, August 16, 2023 (UTC) 02:50, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support per the consensus reached at talk:Elastigirl#Requested move 14 May 2022. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.93.193.235 (talk) 04:26, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support Similar to my !vote on the Elastigirl one, this is an example of WP:COMMONNAME overriding what their name "technically" is. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 08:04, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support Yes that's the common name. desmay (talk) 22:32, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support, for consistency with character names with Pixar characters which have their own articles, such as Woody and Mater where alternative names are known. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:46, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
