All of the administrative articles (civil parish, electoral area, townland and hamlet) should be merged into just one article. The RC parish is sufficiently different to merit its own article. Laurel Lodged (talk) 19:30, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. The concepts of a civil parish, an electoral area, a townland and a hamlet are all quite distinct. Distinct concepts should have their own entries, not least because of the fact that other articles will often need to refer to one of them but no the other.
