[edit]This unreferenced, one-sentence article provides no information that is not already contained in Samson and Delilah (opera), in fact less. If it is not significantly expanded with proper referencing within 2 days, I am going to re-direct it to Samson and Delilah (opera). See Nessun dorma and Madamina, il catalogo è questo for what is required for an aria to have a stand-alone article. Voceditenore (talk) 12:00, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Recent changes
[edit]1. Please do not change the typographics, they have rendered many letters as blank boxes. The original version is from a reliable source.
2. Please do not add advertisement for an album which has not even been released. The fact that this track may appear on a rock album is largely irrelevant to this article. If and when it appears and the track has been reviewed with commentary in a reliable source, not Twitter, add it at that time. --Voceditenore (talk) 11:54, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Once again I have removed the following from the article which various Muse fans continue to add:
- "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix is the name of the 8th track on the 5th album The Resistance by Muse release in 2009. Some verses are sung in french."
This ungrammatical, incorrectly punctuated, and entirely unreferenced assertion refers to a song in a yet unreleased album. It is not even clear that it uses the actual music of the aria rather than simply using its words. The 8th track is listed as "I Belong To You" with Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard, Christopher Wolstenholme listed as the composers. It may or may not be appended with "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix" as a sub-song in the final version.[1]. All of this is pure speculation until the album is actually released in September 2009 and reviewed in a reliable source. Until then, any further additions of this unreferenced speculation will be removed. This is an article about an opera aria, not advance publicity for Muse. Please read WP:NOT. Range and tessitura
[edit]The aria can't have a range between Bb4 and G5 and a tessitura of Eb4 to Eb5, since Bb4 is higher than Eb4. I assume the contributor meant "Bb3 to G5" but I didn't want to correct it until I was sure. Alázhlis (talk) 20:39, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for paying attention. However: a range from Bb4 to G5 would very narrow indeed, and that's where the mistake crept in – it's Bb3 to G5. Now corrected. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:08, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
