Comparisons With other Artists

[edit]

The cited article only compares him to Jake Shears, not the others. I get the feeling these comparisons are made on the basis of the said artist's sexuality and are somewhat facile. Why not say something like speculation around Mika's sexuality has lead to comparison with other gay musicians; although the fact that these musicians are musically pretty diverse reflects how facile these type of comparisons are. 3tmx 22:12, 11 Februrary 2007 (UTC)

Drowned in sound

[edit]

Shouldnt it be mentioned under criticisms about the drowned in sound website giving him a bad review, leading to Brian may from queen to defend mika? i reckon it should as it is worthy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.42.39.202 (talkcontribs)

– I see a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here:

  • "usage": this article has had an average of approx. 2,000 views per day in the past 30 days, i.e. approx. 60,000 views in total, not counting the peaks (which bring that number to 109,424). That is about 6x more than all the other "people known just as Mika" put together (who have got a total 9 ,079 views in the past 30 days). I have also found a couple of undisambiguated links which meant to redirect the reader to this article.
  • "long-term significance": the subject of this article has been notable under the name "Mika" for over a decade now.

Why is this article Protected?

[edit]

Why is it protected? What led to its protection? Was it a dispute over Mika's nationality or sexuality? 76.65.45.114 (talk) 04:51, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
