Expansion
[edit]The article needs general expansion and many more cites- I have added one to the claim that she was one of the most visible treasurers for the simple matter that, this being a largely ceremonial position, every US Treasurer makes hundreds of appearances. Is there a cite that verifies Withrow's tenure being more extraordinary in this regard than others? Also, the new $50 and $100 bills were introduced during her predecessor's term. But all that is minor and I don't recommend taking any of it all- just expanding on it with cites. The Original Historygeek (talk) 18:24, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
To quote from the May 18th, 2009 Columbus Dispatch: "Over nearly seven years as treasurer, Withrow said, her signature was printed on $80 billion in currency, more than any predecessor. She also was one of the nation's most visible treasurers, frequenting coin and currency shows to autograph "Withrow bills."" I'm sure you'll just claim that isn't an ubiased source, so I didn't bother to fix that. I did, however, remove your incorrect challenge about the $50 bill (it was redesigned in 1996) and the $100 bill (1997)-- both things can be found in the chronology of changes in the entries. To satisfy the pedants, who might argue that something can only be introduced once, I removed the word introduced. Swarles Barkley (talk) 14:33, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
