Marvel at Madame Tussauds
[edit]Hello Wikipedians. I recently added this to the article:
"Madame Tussauds museums in several countries have had Marvel exhibits.[1][2][3]"
I was reverted, "not fully MCU-specific. not appropriate for listing here", and I reverted again, so we're at BRRD at the time I write this.
I admit, per inclusion of stuff like Wolverine and Sue Storm, this is not 100% MCU, but per refs used and primary stuff like [1][2][3], it is primarily (or at the very least significantly, but I think primarily is fair) that (sort of the mutual money-making point, I think), and so it fits this article. That is my view.

Trailblazer101, reverting me again (that's fair), said Yet the museum's attractions' only apparent MCU-related statue was Iron Man's. The Hulk one itself is more comics-based, and the sources and information added do not relate to the MCU.
Ref1: "Rebecca Holmes combs Nick Fury's beard. Fury is played in the forthcoming film by Samuel L Jackson".
Ref2:"Just in time for a summer movie season that will witness the release of The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man, wax museum Madame Tussauds New York is opening up an interactive Marvel Super Heroes Experience"
Ref3:"The two are Captain America and Iron Man, with the latter standing among a wall of Iron Man armour that is reminiscent of Tony Stark's basement workshop in the movies." Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:51, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
Fwiw, some more primary-stuff from the other direction:[4] Would "Madame Tussauds museums in several countries have had Marvel exhibits with MCU-elements." be considered an improvement? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:55, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- If there are a few MCU-related figures then I wouldn't say it is completely irrelevant, but it also doesn't seem like a whole new subsection is justified when they seem to make figures about every man and his dog. Is there anything unique about the MCU figures that could make this information more useful to our readers? - adamstom97 (talk) 14:55, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Nothing in the Other live attractions section appears unique to me, so if noted org with decent sources isn't in WP:PROPORTION, well, that's what I've got. I put it in a separate sub-section since the other stuff there had sub-sections. If this [5][6] counts as a few or not I don't know. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:24, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- And on this [7], I'd say without third-party sources, there's WP:PROPORTION-fail. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:28, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Gråbergs Gråa Sång, I agree with that they should be mentioned on this article as Madame Tussauds related things could be added (like at some celebrity pages) if the sources exists; but I also agree with @Adamstom.97 that it don't need whole another section. Just simply put a sentence with examples and citation. Littlesquirrell (talk) 11:53, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- IMO, that would look odd in the Marvel_Cinematic_Universe#Other_live_attractions section. Or were you thinking of putting it somewhere else? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:50, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Gråbergs Gråa Sång, either you can put the sentence in between: Other live attractions section and Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. sub-section or you can add more substantial information before creating that section again. Littlesquirrell (talk) 13:06, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

Deadpool and wolverine
[edit]Will this movie be added to the timeline because it's part of the phase 5 MCU? XTRM XPRT KILR (talk) 12:57, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- There is disagreement about whether it should considering it primarily takes place outside of the Sacred Timeline. - adamstom97 (talk) 13:14, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think it should be decided only after arriving to the Disney+, depends on if it will be on the timline there. IKhitron (talk) 15:37, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Disney+ is not the sole determining factor for where content goes on the timeline, it only adds to it. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:54, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- We're not talking about where, but about if to add at all. IKhitron (talk) 11:11, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- That is currently being discussed at Talk:Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. Trailblazer101 (talk) 15:07, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

- Is that why the Loki show isn't on timeline either? DCTrinity (talk) 19:51, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- That is correct. Loki takes place outside of time and in other timelines. Deadpool & Wolverine is mainly in the Void and the Fox universe. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:53, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- So what about in the marvels when in the end they go that parallel universe and they go the fox universe XTRM XPRT KILR (talk) 18:35, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- We focus on the vast majority of a project for its placement and don't focus on short moments or scenes that deviate. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:22, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- how would I watch the whole MCU? XTRM XPRT KILR (talk) 22:11, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- There are plenty of articles out there online for this question. These types of questions are not relevant for this talk page, which should only be reserved for discussion about improving this article, as this is WP:NOTAFORUM for general discussions of the topic. Will Loki be added to the timeline
[edit]This is because Deadpool and wolverine is also there as it takes place at a point outside the sacred timeline so technically Loki show should also be there XTRM XPRT KILR (talk) 20:43, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Deadpool & Wolverine is listed because, while it is set outside the Sacred Timeline, it is primarily set in a definitive year (2024), unlike Loki, which is primarily across different timelines. This is reflected in a footnote in the timeline graphic. Trailblazer101 (talk) 22:43, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

Add "Loki", "What If...?", and other Tv. shows, such as "Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'" to the timeline part, as well as films from the X-Men film series, the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man films, as well as Sony's Venom films due to their many appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. SummerSensation (talk) 20:48, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Same as the above, Loki and What If...? are set outside of the Sacred Timeline with no primary definitive year in which they take place. As for AoS, it has not been placed in the MCU timeline by Marvel Studios or Disney, unlike the Netflix series. The X-Men films and other Spider-Man films are also not relevant to the MCU timeline because they are not in that universe, just connected to it. Trailblazer101 (talk) 22:45, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
Featured Article
[edit]I have been looking over this article for the past few months since major copyediting took place and I believe it has been rounded out into a very good space to where we can begin to discuss the next feat: nominating this for WP:Featured article. I know this would be a massive undertaking and that it ought to exemplify comprehensive work, and I believe there are only a few areas in this article that may need some more work (ie. the timeline for carrying over some citations and maybe the Reception and Other studios sections could use another c/e). I think with the most-recent coverage and developments of this franchise, it is only going to get longer and now seems fitting more than ever to tackle this endeavor, especially considering many of the sub-lists are FLs already. I'll have some time within the next couple of months to work on this before being more off-and-on, though I was wondering what others' thoughts are of us moving forward with this. Trailblazer101 (talk) 17:51, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- If we were going to do that, I think we would want to review the Reception and Cultural Impact sections as probably being somewhat out-of-date. But if you are keen to give it a go and support the review process then I am happy to help out where I can. - adamstom97 (talk) 18:16, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- My only concern is that per Wikipedia:Featured article criteria this would fail point "e"
its content does not change significantly from day to day, except in response to the featured article process
, as this article history shows that it's edited weekly. Gonnym (talk) 18:24, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
