Title
[edit]Why does this page have "Marvel's" in the title, but none of the series or movies do? - DinoSlider (talk) 14:36, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hey DinoSlider. I created it at Marvel's Most Wanted because Most Wanted (TV series) is currently occupied by another article, so that article would have to move to better disambig, for this one. The resulting title of this will be Most Wanted (YEAR TV series). And since we have no idea at this time when the series will even debut (let alone if the pilot will pass), this was the best alternative for the time being. Once it hits article space, it won't be called this. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:04, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds logical. - DinoSlider (talk) 16:14, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Fehr/Andrade casting
[edit]Futon Critic has posted what appears to be an ABC press release confirming the Fehr & Andrade castings, but I can't find the actual press release. Breathesgelatin (talk) 06:17, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- We can use the one from Futon Critic. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:43, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page at this time, per the discussion below; this may be worth revisiting when the guidance of our guidelines is more clear. Dekimasuよ! 06:25, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
Most Wanted (TV pilot) → Marvel's Most Wanted – The current title doesn't conform to WP:NCTV, and is somewhat misleading as the topic of the article is the proposed television series overall (with background and production information), not just an individual pilot episode. The proposed title is WP:NATURALDISAMBIG using a common (and likely the most common) way that sources refer to this series/pilot. Natural disambiguation avoids the need to debate a correct parenthetically disambiguation in order to distinguish from Most Wanted (1976 TV series). -- Netoholic @ 02:45, 6 April 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. –Ammarpad (talk) 06:06, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose TV pilot is a proper disambiguator for the article, because that is all that was ever produced, even though unaired. It isn't misleading despite the article covering info for the proposed nature of the series overall. Also oppose to including "Marvel's" in the title per WP:COMMONNAME, which would still have been "Most Wanted". - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:17, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- If you'll survey the sources in the article, you'll find a dominating majority use "Marvel's Most Wanted". -- Netoholic @ 00:44, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
OpposeWeak supportIts pretty hard to support this based on the reasoning provided because the other eleven articles about Marvel TV series do not have the Marvel name in their article title. The closest parallel to this move request would be Runaways (TV series). If this article was renamed to Marvel's Runaways it would eliminate the need for the disambiguation which is pretty much the reasoning here to move this article. In regards to the sources if you survey the sources in the following articles Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter (TV series), Inhumans (TV series), Daredevil (TV series), Jessica Jones (TV series), Luke Cage (TV series), Iron Fist (TV series), The Defenders (miniseries), Runaways (TV series), Cloak & Dagger (TV series) & New Warriors (TV series) they all are just like this article with a majority of sources including Marvel's in the respective show's title. So as it stands right now I oppose singling out one article when there are other articles that are in the same situation because then it would create a case of inconsistent naming for all Marvel TV series.♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 09:52, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- As you said, @Alucard 16:, the addition of Marvel's is to address the disambiguation, both to avoid it totally and because the current title uses a method of disambiguation (TV pilot) which is undocumented. Please vote here based on the predominance sources here and the relevant naming convention, and perhaps we can address those others in the future, which I agree also fail WP:VERIFIABLE by using titles which aren't in agreement with the majority of sources. I don't think we can tackle all of those at once, but we can make this one right and perhaps use it as precedent. -- Netoholic @ 10:38, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Netoholic: I'm not sure what the issue with the disambiguation is. I might be a little confused but there are other TV pilots that are notable that didn't get picked up like Aquaman (TV pilot) & Wonder Woman (2011 TV pilot) for example that have similar disambiguations. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 10:55, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Alucard 16: - Again, more problem titles which to be resolved, not to be taken as precedent. If I tried to RM those, they'd cite this article as precedent, and we'd never move ahead with the necessary fixes. We can't handle everything at once either as there are distinct issues with each one. Please just vote based on the best title for this article in isolation, and we'll address other problems as we go. -- Netoholic @ 11:00, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- I have changed my !vote from Oppose to Support but the reason for this is very weak and I will explain why.
- @Netoholic: The current title doesn't conform to WP:NCTV, and is somewhat misleading as the topic of the article is the proposed television series overall (with background and production information), not just an individual pilot episode. After re-reading WP:NCTV a lot this can't be used as a reason to move the article because there is nothing in WP:NCTV that specifically says that the title Most Wanted (TV pilot) goes against established guidelines. In fact there is nothing in this guideline about pilots at all but their should be. For future requests to move other TV pilots based on this reasoning I would recommend not using WP:NCTV until a broad discussion and consensus is established on how to handle TV pilots. This is why I initially voted Oppose because there was nothing in the guidelines that said the title in question didn't conform.
- The proposed title is WP:NATURALDISAMBIG using a common (and likely the most common) way that sources refer to this series/pilot. Natural disambiguation avoids the need to debate a correct parenthetically disambiguation in order to distinguish from Most Wanted (1976 TV series). After re-reading the policy on WP:NATURALDISAMBIG and reviewing the sources a bit further in depth is why I switched my vote from Oppose to Weak Support. Had this been the lead reason out of the gate or if WP:NCTV wasn't mentioned at all my support for the move would be very strong. The reason I now support the move is in the sources the title is referred to as Marvel's Most Wanted and using this title would eliminate the need for disambiguation as per WP:NATURALDISAMBIG and since the majority of sources are using Marvel's Most Wanted then Wikipedia should too. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 20:00, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

- Weak oppose: Saying the pilot disambig is not yet noted at NCTV is not a good reason to change this, it is an issue over there that needs to be remedied. I also do think we should be consistent with the other MCU articles and would rather a centralised discussion on all of them instead of singling then out and creating different local consensuses. My reasoning for not giving a strong oppose is that "Marvel's Most Wanted" actually makes sense as a full title and so it seems likely that it could have been used for that rather than just because it is the formal title. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:55, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]There was not strong opposition to this move at the time, and I am now on the side of making the move. Marve's Most Wanted is naturally disambiguated, and it makes sense to keep the "Marvel's" where we would usually drop it for other series because it actually forms part of a sensical title rather than simply being tacked on to the front. The sources in the article seem to support this, for instance using "Marvel's Most Wanted" and then "Agent Carter" instead of "Marvel's Agent Carter". Because of these points and the fact that there is not much activity at this page, I am going to WP:BEBOLD and make the move, but I am happy to discuss here further if anyone objects. - adamstom97 (talk) 09:19, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
