Wording issue perhaps?

I noting a certain phrase, "the only Nordic country to have never had a woman serve as head of government". I'd like to quickly direct you to both Gro Harlem Brundtland and Erna Solberg. Both of them were Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway. As far as I'm aware, Norway IS a Nordic country. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I feel this needs to be fixed. Perhaps "first female to serve as head of government for Sweden"? I know she didn't actually become Prime Minister, but still think it needs to be fixed. J-Man11 (talk) 04:21, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

I think that you mean that the phrase in the article is incorrect since Norway had a female PM, right? Well, that's what the phrase means: all the other Nordic countries have had female prime ministers. I believe that it is relevant to the article that Sweden is the only Nordic country that never had a female PM, so the phrase is fine as it is. Sjö (talk) 06:03, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the re-wording, just was confused reading it, and I'm sure others who aren't too into the political world would gloss right over it too.. J-Man11 (talk) 06:15, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Prime Minister?

I know Andersson was elected as prime minister, however, she resigned within hours. So is she "technically" considered a prime minister or no? Was she sworn in? Snickers2686 (talk) 19:11, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

No, she did not have time to take office. There was to be a cabinet meeting on the 26, where she would have succeeded Löfven. Sjö (talk) 19:14, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
It's a sticky wicket ... if she wasn't officially sworn in by whatever the Swedes do in their gov't, I would say 'not.' 50.111.58.135 (talk) 02:42, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

She was Prime Minister, regardless of the length of time.

Andersson has stated "I have told the speaker that I wish to resign"

Notice the keyword "resign" which implies that she was Prime Minister. Many credible sources, including BBC News, CNN, Politico, CNBC, The Guardian, Independent, etc. have also pointed out that she was Prime Minister for several hours. Bryanscion (talk) 19:26, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Wrong, it was clarified by the speaker in the press conference today, she did not assume the office, that is done after the council with the King, which was to be held tomorrow. --Marbe166 (talk) 19:46, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
Do you have a citation for your point Marbe166? I am not doubting you but would like to see a citation as I could not find the information you stated in an article. Jurisdicta (talk) 03:43, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
[1], [2], the sections Var Magdalena Andersson någonsin statsminister? and Vem leder Sverige?, [3]. Sjö (talk) 06:12, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
sorry you were shown to be completely incorrect, Bryanscion ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.58.135 (talk) 15:34, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
