MOS question re:Capitals in title
[edit]Hey Onel5969, I know you just took a look at this article, perhaps you can answer a quick Manual of Style section. (actually two, now that I think of it)
- Should the A in Amendments be capitalized? I made it upper case when approving the article, and made the P in Proposed lower case, but I don't know if we would consider it to be a proper noun in this particular context.
- Should US be spelled out to United States?
Once I get a better sense of what people think, I can make the necessary pagemove. Bkissin (talk) 18:42, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
- Bkissin, whenever I have to think about an answer, I tend to look at similar articles. In this case, going to Amendments to the US Constitution, the word "amendment" is not capitalized throughout the article, so I would say that it should not be capitalized in the title. Regarding US, while I can't find a specific guideline on it, looking at other article titles, it looks like we should spell out United States, but as per WP:CONSISTENT United States of America is not necessary.
