Size split?
[edit]Split - Article is over 100 kB, and should be split by Kingdom, starting with "Kingdom: Protista". Thoughts? Suggestions?--Jax 0677 (talk) 22:36, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- That seems the logical place to split. I have no objections. What do you propose to name the sections?. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 05:38, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Reply - How about "List of Protista seaweeds of South Africa"? Thoughts? Suggestions?--Jax 0677 (talk) 10:49, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- I assume that the original truncated article will keep the existing name and would link to the new Protista/Rhodophyta article at the third main section. It might be useful to add a few aliases as redirects for people who might search for Red algae or Rhodophyta. Otherwise, no problem with me, go ahead whenever you like, I doubt there will be any objections. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 07:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
I propose splitting into:
- List of green seaweeds of South Africa
- List of brown seaweeds of South Africa
- List of red seaweeds of South Africa already exists
The current title will become a disambiguation page.
This will fit in with titles of national seaweed checklists for South Africa
As I expect this to be uncontroversial, I intend to make the split if there are no objections after a week. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 15:59, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- The split has been done, the original title is now a disambiguation page. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 14:38, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
