Is there a reason that "generation" isn't capitalized on these pages?
[edit]If there is, please inform me. Paintspot (talk) 17:56, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
- It's not a name it's a type of generation, like the letter X. Letter isn't capitalized for the same reason as generation. Porygon-Z 16:04, 5 December 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Porygon-Z474 (talk • contribs)
There are 107 Pokémon in Gen 4, not 106
[edit]Arceus is #493, the last Pokémon in Gen 3, Deoxys, is #386. 493 - 386 is 107. 73.25.94.97 (talk) 03:04, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Separate lists for Mega Evolution?
[edit]Why is Mega Evolution separate from the list. Doesn't it say Forms are included for reference? Porygon-Z (talk) 16:35, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
Wikifying notes
[edit][Insert jovial introduction here]. I feel like because there are so few notes, it makes the few notes that exist seem less proper. I assume they explain the Pokemon's lore/appearance in a way similar to the Pokedex, but that's a lot that doesn't seem to be entirely necessary. Am I mistaken? If I am given instructions on how to do so, I'd be willing to create proper notes for every entry here. puggo (talk) 20:10, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hello! I have completed the most complete notes section of this Wikipedia page. I added the notes to the Pokemon Grotle, Staravia, Luxio, Crandidos, Bastiodon, Floatzel, Chingling, Bronzong, Gabite, Riolu, Skorupi, Drapion, and Carnivine. Arkoos vs. Arceus
[edit]I believe "Arkoos" is a humorous spelling variant often used by the youtuber MandJTV [1], according to official media its spelt "Arceus" [2]. Is there any reason its spelt Arkoos on this page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.205.28.202 (talk) 13:59, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- I believe there is absolutely NO REASON to refer to Arceus as "Arkoos", just as a joke of how the Japanese pronunciation differs from one in the English dub of the anime.
- The pronunciation through a hard C is due to Tom Wayland's decision, worrying about the potential implications in British English-speaking territories. (Sorry, I don't have the source for that!) --Keyacom (💬 | 🖊) 16:40, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Any Sections for the Origin Forms of Dialga And Palkia?
[edit]Since Legends: Arceus came out, they are the only 2 Pokemon I dont see in Gen 8 or Gen 4 Wikis. Should we change that? UB Blacephalon (talk) 23:30, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Give Infernape his own page!
[edit]He’s one of the most famous Pokémon of all time and one of almost everyone’s personal favorites. Please make an article for him! --PyukumukuAce (talk) 14:16, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
Why does Arceus not have his own page???
[edit]He’s the mascot of Legends Arceus and well-known as the god of Pokémon! Give him his own page! --PyukumukuAce (talk) 14:22, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- if you can provide enough reliable sources for its notability, that can happen. same goes for infernape
- also arkoos isn't male and starters like chimchar are only mostly male, but that's besides the point cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 14:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
TWO WORDS. BULBA. PEDIA. --PyukumukuAce (talk) 14:44, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- this isn't bulbapedia. wikipedia requires significant coverage of something to warrant an article for it. otherwise, it would be riddled with fancruft on things no one cares about, like that one phone cover ex machina from little witch academia. also, bulbapedia is one word cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 15:09, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- @PyukumukuAce: Frankly, Arceus struggles on two points: firstly, a lot of Pokémon do not receive significant coverage, even if they are significant in-universe. Secondly, Arceus is also very hard to search, having to sift through every single mention of its game. Ironically, being a mascot is a detriment for it getting an article.
