Since the creation of this article, I have noticed that multiple unregistered accounts have been editing dates of releases by either changing or removing them without any new references to support such changes. Please note that, any dates added or changed without a reference will be removed. If this persists, I will move on to get this article protected status to avoid over-editing without any sources.

Different release dates by country
A lot of releases of films on this list were modified so that they now have different release dates by country. What's more important to note, the first cinematic release of a film, or the cinematic release in the country of production, or both? And should the introduction maybe be expanded to mention what country these release dates apply to? - FakirNL (talk) 17:26, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- Both the first cinematic release of a film and the release in the country of production (mostly always US) are to be noted. This is done by stating where it has been delayed, such as, for 'Greenland', (Delayed in the US until *date*) and adding an accompanying note where it has been released first, (This film was first released in Belgium, France, and Scandinavian countries). As all these countries have a different release date for the film, none have been mentioned as that would be quite redundant, however, if all shared the same date, then it would be better to mention, like (released in *countries* on *same date*).
- Most of the films have been released/delayed in a handful of countries before their worldwide release. In this case, if there are relevant sources, all countries could be mentioned, such as, for 'Onward'.
- It is also worth noting that the majority of films have announced new release dates without specifying the country.
- Good idea about expanding the introduction. I will add to it. •Shawnqual• 📚 • 💭 14:49, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
- I think we should also add for what Country the movie will be released in first or even if it's a small local release or a worldwide one, I see we have some more international films listed (such as Japanese films) and to see what will be coming in the coming weeks, especially for theater employees/goers to know what is comingTVWolf (talk) 19:54, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

New Lists or at least new Categories, and some Ideas
We have a lot of movies listed and I think we should sort some out for worldwide or local releases, like how the TV productions being affected did US Productions and Worldwide productions, I feel like we might need to separate some of the movies out or at least mark them for what country they will primarily be released. Also maybe we should color code some movies that have been released in Theaters already, like Tenet or Cut Throat City, your Thoughts? TVWolf (talk) 22:04, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- I don't think color coding would really be useful. The new release dates being listed should be enough - readers shouldn't need a color code to know, for example, that September 25, 2020 has already passed. - DoubleCross (‡) 17:16, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
2021 Warner Bros. HBO Max announcement
Warner Bros. Pictures just announced that their entire 2021 slate of 17 films (though Elvis was not mentioned) will be released simultaneously in both theaters and on HBO Max for an exclusive one-month window, before going back to the standard theatrical release window. Source reference here.[14] So what does this mean for the article? Do we now list the films by studio? Do we dedicate an entire section for this? --- Draco9904 (talk) 01:15, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Protection needed.
Can we protect this page? These IP users are constantly messing with the page by putting films in the wrong place, adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, edit warring and just thinking what they believe in, and by that, I mean: continuing to add new dates for movies, which they shouldn't be doing, only the studio does. They just add these dates just to get them back on the schedule because they've waited long enough for them to release, which needs to stop now. Zack41Attack (talk) 04:14, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Productions Section
I was perhaps wondering for those who are frequent editors of the page if there's anything we might do about the production section that has gone out of date sort of quickly. For example, The Fallout states delayed filming, but it has currently finished filming and was screened at a festival. In suspended productions, we have The Prom, which did slight reshoots and then released last December. Wondering if we need to adjust the list to clarify as the list is slightly out of date now. QueerFilmNerdtalk 05:40, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- The sections are not supposed to be "dated" - they simply refer to productions that were delayed, suspended or canceled because of the pandemic. With the first two, it's not supposed to imply that they have yet to resume (or start) production.
- They could be converted to tables like the other sections, with explanations about when and why they were suspended or delayed, and if/when they (re)started. It would probably make this already-long article a lot longer, and more unwieldy. - DoubleCross (‡) 14:21, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
