Missing Clive

[edit]

We are missing Clive on this page altogether (and perhaps others, but he's the only one I noticed). My memory is groggy, so I'll let someone else add him, but I don't think anything was revealed about his past until the sequel; is that right? In the first game he was just a mysterious outlander traveling through who gets sucked into your cause at the same time you can recruit Pesmerga, I think. In any case, the omission is glaring and should be rectified ASAP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.245.44.160 (talk) 08:39, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since you asked, Clive has now been added to the Other Outlanders section. EikaKou (talk) 05:36, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Character Pages

[edit]

I've noticed that in the Suikoden pages, there are a lot of character pages that are very short and the charaters only have limited importance to the game.

Arguably, characters like Mathiu Silverberg and Odessa Silverberg have key roles to play, but their pages are also very short and they do not make any appearences beyond Suikoden I. The same actually applies to characters who make cameo/limited appearences in Suikoden II and other installments.

For characters like Luc, Jeane and Viki (and I suppose, Leknaat, whose page is also very short) who appear in multiple games and have a much more detailed history, I can see why they require their own page. However, key characters the successing Suikoden games (III, IV, and V) do not have individual character pages, even for the main characters unless information is extensive and difficult to limit within a compiliation page for the characters in the installment. For example, Hugo, Chris Lightfellow, and Geddoe (Suikoden III), Lazlo (Suikoden IV), and the Prince of Falena (Suikoden V) are all main characters within their own games, but have been merged into the compilation pages for their respective games.

I think that compilation pages should be made for Suikoden I and II to eliminate the pages with little character information for these two games, using the format used in the List of Suikoden III characters page. 24.84.200.124 21:46, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please check out the information I posted on your talk page here. I really like what you have been doing and would like to have you join our task force about Suikoden. Thanks! bwowen talk.contribs 00:48, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page Name: Proposed Change to List of Suikoden characters

[edit]

I am proposing that we move this page to List of Suikoden characters, due to the fact that the first game is not "Suikoden I" but "Suikoden." Let me know what you think. bwowen talk.contribs 00:48, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The only thing that would worry me about that move is that since the series is also referred to as Suikoden, it might imply the page includes characters from all five games. EikaKou 23:33, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I naturally agree with such a move. EikaKou's concern is valid, but can probably be solved via the introduction making it clear it's from the game, not the series. Which it already does, really. SnowFire 03:34, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's easy! Simply call this article "List of Suikoden characters" and the one that deals with the whole series "List of Suikoden series characters. Problem solved! Jonny2x4 (talk) 03:32, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Milia01.gif

[edit]

Image:Milia01.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
