14 Hour Surgery
[edit]What do Christina and George hold up during a 14 hour surgery? don't know what episode this is from but does anyone know what the answer is???— Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.34.7.166 (talk) 04:50, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

- That subplot is from the episode "If Tomorrow Never Comes"...Sfufan2005 23:44, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Move to Seasons article
[edit]Like the Lost article, I am proposing that each season have a page and on this page a tablet list with the title, picture and summary. I'll be updating that in time so it will be uniform with other show pages. Sfufan2005 22:33, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
we can move each episode so each episode has their own page like lost prision break its sound good i think its good idea— Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.164.158.198 (talk • contribs) 03:25, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Clarification of Details
[edit]In "List of Grey's Anatomy episodes" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Grey%27s_Anatomy_episodes), the sypnosis for "Band-Aid Covers the Bullet Hole" (ep. 2-20) reads: "...After Dr. Bailey is called into surgery, Cristina is forced to watch baby Tucker for the remainder of the day. ..."
While in "Grey's Anatomy episodes (Season Two)" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey%27s_Anatomy_episodes_%28Season_2%29#Band-Aid_Covers_the_Bullet_Hole), the sypnosis reads: "...After Dr. Bailey is called into surgery, Cristina is forced to watch baby William for the remainder of the day. ..."
My question: what is Dr Baileys' babys' real name, William or Tucker?
Cheers— Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.6.196.116 (talk) 19:28, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
its william - tucker is bailey's husband Tomba 21:19, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
He's name is William George Bailey Jones, but they call him "Tuck" (no idea why, though). Diana Prallon (talk) 16:36, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Use of images in Lists of episodes
[edit]A head's up that a weeks-long discussion has been going on at Talk:List_of_Lost_episodes/Use_of_images about the inclusion of screen captured images, such as those used in this list article. The position by some admins appears to be that they are a violation of Copyright and do not fall under Fair Use. Consequently, the images were deleted from the Lost episode list, and likewise will probably be removed from this one-- unless opinion on the use of such images changes. --LeflymanTalk 20:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Move episodes
[edit]we can move each episode so each episode has their own page like lost prision break its sound good —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 189.164.158.198 (talk) 03:24, 3 March 2007 (UTC).
- It can be moved but I'd like a consensus first before this happens. I'm in favor though as long we have enough information for individual episodes. I don't see why not though. Sfufan2005 03:33, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
yes !!, like you say in lost each season have their own page , each episode their own page like greys anatomy, prision break many series are like that and when you see that its a good presentation . But why we cant do it ?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.164.158.198 (talk) 03:42, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly fine with me. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 17:21, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've created episode entries for the first two episodes. It's going to take awhile and I'll keep the season articles in tact until the whole thing is finished and then I'll redirect them to this page. Sfufan2005 01:52, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
If the episode pages don't end up deleted (see discussion below), would it be appropriate to go back and include the trivia bits that were included on the original season pages before they became redirects? I found them insightful, but I can see where they might not be seen as encyclopedic. SapphireSkies (talk) 05:47, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Totally Random Question
[edit]Just out of curiosity, why is the episode count given in the header section bolded? I have absolutely no objection to this, but it seems to be an interesting stylistc choice. →Bobby← 15:25, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Copyright on episode descriptions?

Attempt to create precedent disallowing individual episodes
[edit]There is discussion at WP:AN/I#Fancruft_issue_again, and an AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kept Man that is attempting to create a precedent disallowing individual episodes. Matthew 18:12, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
User:Peregrine Fisher and User:Matthew are attempting to vote stack this AfD by telling other users that this AfD will effect unrelated episode articles. This AfD is only about this set of articles, and stands on it's own. AfD is not a vote. Editors coming here to support a different show's set of episode articles should take the time to comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kept Man situation individually. |

Sendhil Ramamurthy?
[edit]I don't watch the the show Grey's Anatomy. Really, I'm just an obsessive Heroes fan. I would really like to know what episode it is that Sendhil Ramamurthy guest stars in. I'll have to watch that one...--68.214.212.174 (talk) 05:03, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm a little confused
[edit]Why do some seasons have season articles while other seasons are redirected, even those that actually have content in their edit history and why are tables duplicated in season articles and here? At 116KB this article is certainly big enough to split so why isn't this just a basic article with the season tables transcluded, as is the convention when episaode lists get too large? --AussieLegend (talk) 08:26, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
no direct link
[edit]there is no direct link to episode season 3 episode 11 and 12 even though theres already a page made for those episodes so can someone put a link in six days part 1 and 2 if you go to dont stand so close to me where it tells you what the next episodes is going to be is six days part one so you dont have trouble to finding the episode link —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.122.160.54 (talk) 05:22, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- Those articles should actually be deleted as they fail WP:PLOT. --AussieLegend (talk) 09:00, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Um...it said in this interview tht Demi Lovato was guest starring on an episode of this, but I don't know which one. And i don't watch this show, so i'd like 2 know when the next knew ep. is. Table layout
[edit]I didnt like the column widths in the current layout of the episode tables.
- Each seasons table uses different column widths. That hurts the eye ...
- The number columns (series #, season / episode #, viewers, air date) are too wide.
- The text columns (title, directed by, written by) are far too narrow and lead to line breaks.
After several experiments, I have made the following changes:
- I specified all column widths as percent to have the same widths in every season
- 5 percent for series # and season / episode #; removed newline before #, will autobreak if necessary
- 30 percent for title; 15 percent for directed by, 20 percent for written by
- 15 percent for viewers, 10 percent for air date; removed line break before (millions)
I hope you like the new layout.

Season Openers/Finales/Crossovers/Episodes that introduce new characters/Other important episodes should have their own page.
[edit]Only some episodes currently have their own page. I know that doing them all would be a TON of work which is why I propose that Season Openers/Finales/Crossovers/Episode that introduce new characters/Other important episodes should get their own pages first because those are more important. After we finish those we can do the rest of the ones that don't have their own pages... I believe the last one to have its own page is Sympathy for the Devil. Lilly (talk) 21:53, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- Only episodes that meet the general notability guidelines should have individual articles. Generally speaking these probably will be the season openers, finales and crossovers, because they tend to generate the most press, but a lot of the episodes that do have their own articles at the moment should probably be redirected to the general season articles, or at the very least need a lot of tidy-up work. "Sympathy for the Devil", for instance, is almost entirely in-universe and in violation of WP:NOTPLOT. Frickative 22:03, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Season 7 Episode "Sanctuary"
[edit]Somebody needs to edit in the the fact that Dr. Reed Adamson was killed, especially since she's the first one that is killed and Percy ironically asks Bailey to tell Reed that he loved her. (Shovonma17 (talk) 02:51, 1 June 2010 (UTC))
Seasonal information
[edit]I suggest we change the page format into being similar to List of Lost episodes and List of Desperate Housewives episodes. This way, we can provide some basic information for each season in order to give the reader a background regarding the cast and the storyline. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 19:26, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- I happen to agree with you, add some basic information. TRLIJC19 (talk) 01:41, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- Disagree. It's completely unnecessary. Season articles are there for season information. This page is to list the episodes. Anything you would put here would just be duplicated information from the season pages. I think Lost and DH should be changed too. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 02:22, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- I must say that I disagree with SchrutedIt08. My opinion is that the seasonal information that I am planning on adding in this article is aimed to give the reader a summarized background with no detailed information. It is most certainly NOT duplicated information from the seasonal pages. Therefore, I believe that adding the seasonal information can only be an improvement to the page, leading to it being more complete.
- I happen to see Schrutedlt08's points now as well because all this information is listed at Grey's Anatomy under, series overview. Therefore, I would not add the information in. TRLIJC19 (talk) 12:33, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- Lorin Schonfeld, I don't know why you thought it was okay to add the information without getting a consensus. I have reverted your edits as Wikipedia does not work that way. You have been continuously adding unwanted, information to Grey's Anatomy articles over the past few months which other users and myself have reverted and warned you about. You cannot just add whatever you want without getting opinions, especially unsourced and overdetailed info. This edit you just made without consensus pulled the trigger and you'll be reported. TRLIJC19 (talk) 12:39, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I agree with Lorin Schonfeld. Some information would be a great improvement, but don't add too much detailed information, as this kind of information can be found in the season pages. Jonathan H. Koszeghi (talk) 09:31, 9 April 2012 (UTC)(This user is a sockpuppet of Lorin Schonfeld. Therefore their opinion is not valid as they represent the same opinion as Lorin. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:19, 13 April 2012 (UTC))
So, what is the consensus? Are we going to add seasonal information, or we will just leave the article with the current format? Jonathan H. Koszeghi (talk) 08:08, 11 April 2012 (UTC)(This user is a sockpuppet of Lorin Schonfeld. Therefore their opinion is not valid as they represent the same opinion as Lorin. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:19, 13 April 2012 (UTC))
Rediscuss of seasonal information
[edit]I am expressing apologies to Lorin Schonfeld is he/she considers I am somehow "stealing" his/her idea. I have noticed that Lorin Schonfeld's talk has been left hanging and no consensus has been determined. I would therefore suggest again to add seasonal information regarding the cast and the storylines. It would be a great contribution to the page and, as a consequence, a great improvement for Wikipedia. I look forward to the other editors' opinions. Jonathan H. Koszeghi (talk) 09:25, 12 April 2012 (UTC) (This user is a sockpuppet of Lorin Schonfeld. Therefore their opinion is not valid as they represent the same opinion as Lorin. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:19, 13 April 2012 (UTC))
- Well if you agree with adding the seasonal information then 2 users are for it and 2 are against, so we must wait for more users to express their opinion. However, the page will stay as it is unless another user is for it because if the decision has not reached consensus then it stays as it was. TRLIJC19 (talk) 00:19, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
I am grateful to TRLIJC19 for familiarizing me with Wikipedia's editing guidelines. I also apreciate your concern and interest in the Grey's Anatomy wiki-project. Jonathan H. Koszeghi (talk) 09:31, 13 April 2012 (UTC)(This user is a sockpuppet of Lorin Schonfeld. Therefore their opinion is not valid as they represent the same opinion as Lorin. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:19, 13 April 2012 (UTC))
Is this where another user should post that they are agreeing with the crossed-out people? i do not know them, I am not a "sock-puppet'-but I agree and i would like to see what it says.```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.29.229 (talk) 01:01, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, it would be where to post that. Right now, two users are against adding seasonal information; while two are for it. A consensus would need to be reached in favor of adding it. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 01:06, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Lead section
[edit]The lead section currently contains information regarding the special clip-show episodes (each title and aridate) and also regarding the webisode series. The clip-shows and the webisodes are listed in the same article (List of Grey's Anatomy episodes) under the regular episode list. There is no need for them to be in the lead section, as it is just repeated information from the "Specials" and "Webisodes" sections. I suggest we remove this information from the lead section and rethink it. Jonathan H. Koszeghi (talk) 11:38, 13 April 2012 (UTC) (This user is a sockpuppet of Lorin Schonfeld. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:21, 13 April 2012 (UTC))
Seasonal information retalk
[edit]I do NOT believe anyone has to object against adding seasonal information. As I have read the pages of the Wikipedia editors interested in Grey's Anatomy, their main target is getting the Grey's Anatomy-related articles to Featured article status, a status that can never be reached if this page remains in its current format. For example, List of Lost episodes and List of Desperate Housewives episodes are Featured articles BECAUSE they have seasonal information, since seasonal information is the only information they have that List of Grey's Anatomy episodes doesn't. I look forward to hearing the other editors' response to this. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 19:56, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- No need to use capital letters as it can come off as rude because internet shouting doesn't translate well. And two users have given their opinion as no. Just to elaborate on why the answer from me is no, this page is strictly a list of episodes. Season information is included on season pages and the main page. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:08, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
I did not and do not intend to express rudeness. TRLIJC19 is one of the editors I was referring to, as I had been impressed with his interest in getting the Grey's Anatomy-related articles to Featured article status (as stated on his User page). I think this is a way to achieve our goal: having a Grey's Anatomy Featured Article! Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 20:13, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
There can be nothing wrong about adding seasonal information as Wikipedia got List of Lost episodes and List of Desperate Housewives episodes to the Featured article status. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 20:28, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- I like your initiative for a high quality article collection, and I do think this page needs a lot of work, but just adding seasonal information when the rest of the page is a disaster will not appear right, for now. I would recommend a rewrite on this article and then the bringing up of this idea again. TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:32, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Why not rewrite just like other series' episode-list featured articles? This way, List of Grey's Anatomy episodes will be guaranteed a promotion to a featured article. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 20:57, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Wikipedia does not work that way, unfortunately. Many other factors come into play when determining if an article will receive FL status. No article is "guaranteed" a spot. I stand by my recommendation to rewrite the article with a discussed format, abiding by consensus, and then bring this up after. TRLIJC19 (talk) 21:52, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Then I suggest we add a new section in this page's talk, regarding the rewriting of this article. We should get started right away. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 10:48, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Rewriting the article
[edit]As I have previously stated above, I have come to the conclusion that this article needs rewriting, in order to be promoted to a Featured list. I have been reading episode-list featured articles from other TV series, and I have realized that the current format of List of Grey's Anatomy episodes can not get this article to a higher status. I am looking forward to hearing opinions and suggestions. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 10:58, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- This is a list so it can't become a featured article. The goal is to qualify it for featured list status. TRLIJC19 (talk) 17:59, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Lead section
The lead section currently contains information regarding the special clip-show episodes (each title and aridate) and also regarding the webisode series. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 11:50, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- No, the lead is supposed to include a basic summary of the entire article. Therefore, the webisodes and specials must be briefly mentioned because they are included in the article. If you have any questions, please read WP:LEAD. TRLIJC19 (talk) 14:32, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Then we can mention their existence but I believe it is not necessary to have each title and airdate. There's no point in that. Lorin Schonfeld (talk) 16:03, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- Titles and airdates are what we call "basic information". That is what is included in the lead. More elaboration on the webisodes should be under the section of the said subjects. TRLIJC19 (talk) 16:47, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Then, what exactly did you have in mind when you suggested a rewriting of the article? Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 16:27, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Rewriting of the article means changing vague sentences into clear sentences, referencing unsourced statements, adding necessary information, and removing unnecessary information. I simply stated that editing that specific part of the lead is not necessary, although a rewrite on the sentence may be a good idea for a more clear lead. TRLIJC19 (talk) 02:09, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
Episode Tables
[edit]Ok, so just wondering, why does each season have in example, 'Grey's Anatomy Season 1 Episodes' doesn't that really just state what this whole page is about. If it is in the Grey's Anatomy episodes page, and under season one, people should know that the episodes are in season one. I just kinda think there isn't any point in it. (Tvlover96 (talk) 21:54, 20 August 2012 (UTC))
- As I explained on your talk page, captions are a requirement per MOS:DTT. They are there so that the tables are accessible for the visually impaired. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 23:46, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
Why is there a jump between Season 5/16 and 5/17 of Grey? Is there a short hiatus, holidays? Do prime time shows (like GA) end their seasons soon anyway? Thanks in advance for clarification. |

Removing tangential details?
[edit]I appreciate the general enthusiasm for the series. However, aren't most of these introductory details in the main GA article? Wouldn't it be more appropriate and efficient to limit this article to its actual topics, the seasons and episodes themselves? – AndyFielding (talk) 02:31, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
