[edit]Remember to Provide An Edit Summary Hello and thank you for your contributions. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to America's Next Top Model. This helps everyone to understand what is changed. It may be a good idea to set your user preferences (under Editing) to "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". Thank you. |

ANTM
[edit]I notice that you changed all the surnames in America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9 to reflect the surnames posted on IMDB. I think it's great that you're striving for accuracy, but you need to know that IMDB is not at all a reliable source, and in fact many of the surnames posted there that you changed in the article have been proven to be incorrect (see the list of references at the ANTM c9 page). For instance, you changed Heather's last name from Kuzmich (there is a newspaper article linked that verifies that this is her name) to Rhetson (the false name supplied on IMDB). Since IMDB relies on user contributed information it really can't be cited as a source. Thanks. Eatcacti (talk) 17:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
the source that tells me that lisa is smaller than chantal is http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/official-articles/69471-america-s-next-top-model-9-media-conference-call-sarah-11-09-07-a.htmlSuperrodris89 (talk) 21:21, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't been messing with the heights at all, only the surnames. But where in that link does that say that Lisa is shorter than Chantal? All I see is an interview with Sarah saying that she's 5'10". Eatcacti (talk) 22:11, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Lisa/Saleisha Surnames
[edit]Hi, in the article for America's Next Top Model I notice that you keep adding in Lisa's last name as Cosse and Saleisha's as Cooper. These are false last names. Before the season started airing when the girls had barely been revealed a vandal on Wikipedia edited in false surnames for everybody as is done every cycle. Cosse and Cooper were among those false names. Heather Rhetson, Ambreal Ward, Kimberly Orteganon are a few other examples. You sourced Poptower.com for your addition. Poptower.com is not a reliable source, as much of their information comes from Wikipedia since it is all assumed to be correct. Either that or users submit it with the same belief. I'm just letting you know to hopefully avoid these surnames from being circled around the itnernet anymore than they already are. --4.241.218.142 (talk) 19:03, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Jaslene Gonzalez's weight
[edit](I left this on my talk page, but I'll leave it here too in case you don't see that). I honestly have no idea which weight is correct, since neither is sourced. Though I think it's pretty unlikely that she's 92 pounds. That would give her a BMI of about 14, which is not just skinny, but dangerously underweight. In fact, that BMI is in the "starvation" range. [edit]With regard to your comments on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9. Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption, even if used as a means of retaliation. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Sireafi (talk) 21:31, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I used to be sick of seeing spoilers fly left to right, even if they were false. It's best if you don't believe ones that don't come from someone reliable such as "Tyra's friend" or "Contestant's cousin twice removed". Now if you really want to be wary, you should avoid Wikipedia, YouTube, other video sites and forums. You could enter forums since they usually have a "SPOILER" thread and nothing but spoilers goes in there and they will most likely have a rule against spoilers! Bye! Sireafi (talk) 04:08, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Spoilers on ANTM
[edit]I don't think you should really worry about the "spoilers" too much. For one thing, there's no proof they actually are spoilers. I've been following the ANTM pages for the past few months, and in that time people have posted spoilers saying that Heather, Mila, Bianca, or Janet won, and we know that didn't happen. Some people just hear rumors and then post them here as fact. Just like people earlier posted that Heather's last name was "Rhetson", which was also proven to be false. The last episode of the cycle is coming up in a few days and I bet in that time someone will post that Chantal won, someone will post that Saleisha won, and someone will post that Jenah won. Of course one of them is going to win, but for whoever posted the correct name it will just have been a lucky guess. So in short, don't worry about spoilers so much. :)
- (Though if you must worry about spoilers, it's best to just avoid Wikipedia and all ANTM related sites while the cycle is airing. Like for instance I stayed off the internet for pretty much the entire month before the last Harry Potter book came out.) Eatcacti (talk) 01:19, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Reverting
[edit]In response to your question on Talk:America's Next Top Model: If there's an edit that needs to be reversed, use the "Undo" button. If there are several edits to be reverted, go to the article's history page (click "history" at the top of the article page) and then select the version that you want to revert to. For instance, if some person made a whole bunch of vandalism to a page in 20 separate edits, you click on the edit before this person started editing. Once you get there, click "edit this page" at the top, and then save (including an edit summary). I hope I explained this well enough, but if not, see Help:Reverting#How to revert. Hopefully next time you can revert the vandalism yourself. Good luck. Eatcacti (talk) 22:39, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- You don't need to be sorry! I honestly think it's great that you're trying to help clean up the ANTM pages. Wikipedia is very confusing, and there's plenty of stuff I don't know too. Keep up the good work! Eatcacti (talk) 01:32, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
If sb would tell me what vandalism is...i would be glad
[edit]yeah i dont know what it is and i quite dont understand how wikipedia defines it...yeah im kinda illiterate but hey im latina...so can anybody help?
- See Wikipedia:Vandalism:
Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, or the insertion of nonsense into articles.
It's not always clear what is and what isn't vandalism. Just use your best judgment. Eatcacti (talk) 02:23, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- A user's talk page or user page can be vandalized just as any other page can be. For instance, someone blanked my talk page the other day, so I counted that as vandalism. My page hasn't really been vandalized except that one time, so there's really no need for me to have a counter up (I guess I'm just trying to tempt people). If you want an example of a user page being vandalized, see: example. Eatcacti (talk) 20:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Moi2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Moi2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:07, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Saleisha
[edit]hey wasnt there going to be a special thing on Saleisha winning being preselected??? Lucia (talk) 22:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure what you mean. A special thing where? Eatcacti (talk) 22:56, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about. I guess I was just a little confused because there is already a controversy section on Saleisha's article. Eatcacti (talk) 18:27, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Barnstar
[edit]Thanks a lot for the barnstar! I really appreciate it. Have a good wikibreak! Eatcacti (talk) 00:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Re: charmed reverting
[edit]The episode list including the talkpage is one my watchlist, I read your comment, and then I saw the mess on the page. Then I looked through the page history until I found the last revision that was good, and I used popups to revert with a single click. – sgeureka t•c 22:27, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
The Other 'L' Word
[edit]I fixed the link. The problem was that you were linking it to The Other "L" Word (Third Watch) (notice the double quotes) but the page is called The Other 'L' Word (Third Watch) with single quotes. Glad to help! Eatcacti (talk) 02:44, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- If you think the title is better off with double quotes, just move both pages but don't forget to change the links back to the way they were before (if that makes any sense). Eatcacti (talk) 02:46, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
I moved The Hunter Hunted (Third Watch) to The Hunter, Hunted (Third Watch). That fixed the link. I hope the comma is the correct version. Eatcacti (talk) 21:27, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Alone Again, Naturally (Third Watch)
[edit]I have nominated Alone Again, Naturally (Third Watch), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alone Again, Naturally (Third Watch). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? LegoTech·(t)·(c) 01:15, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Alone Again
[edit]Please read WP:WAF to see why probably all of the Third Watch episode articles will be deleted. LegoTech·(t)·(c) 16:24, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- did you read WP:WAF to see why the episode articles don't conform? Also read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS LegoTech·(t)·(c) 18:58, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- If you'd like to, you can change them to redirects to an article that is a list of all of the episodes, which is what they did to Alone Again, Naturally I believe. LegoTech·(t)·(c) 07:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Could you please leave me a link showing me what you mean about how the ER episode articles are organized? LegoTech·(t)·(c) 18:53, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- That looks cool, the ER ones, here's the list of Third Watch eps List of Third Watch episodes so it looks like there's not a huge amount of work to clean it up to look like the other...when you are done we can go through and create redirects from the episode titles to the list. [edit]Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to List of natural horror films have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 19:56, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
