Article name issue
[edit]"List of Berkeley, California Landmarks, Structures of Merit, and Historic Districts" is confusing. "California Landmark" are a different list but because of the punctuation it reads unclear. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 03:04, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- "List of Berkeley Landmarks in Berkeley, California" is a clearer title, since "Berkeley Landmarks" is the proper name. Example of other local naming heritage registers can be found at Category:Heritage registers in California PigeonChickenFish (talk) 03:16, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- Another option would be "List of Berkeley Landmarks, Structures of Merit, and Historic Districts in Berkeley, California", however I am less inclined to this choice because I noticed most of the other articles also have secondary types of heritage register status (in this example 'Berkeley Landmark' is higher than 'Structure of Merit') but they didn’t include this secondary type in the Wikipedia article name. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 09:04, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- I removed the extraneous first "Berkeley". I left "Landmarks" capitalized. Jruderman (talk) 19:30, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- "Berkeley Landmark" is a proper name of the program. With this name change made recently to "List of Landmarks in Berkeley, California" I see no reason to keep landmark capitalized. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 02:16, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- Makes sense. Jruderman (talk) 19:55, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- Done, thx PigeonChickenFish. Jruderman (talk) 00:12, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- I haven't fixed up the redirects yet because (1) a bot will do it and (2) something went wrong technically; the old capitalization is still showing a few minutes later. Jruderman (talk) 00:17, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

Numbering of list
[edit]The number comes from the citation online, which has numbering but it skipped a few numbers. Please feel free to correct if a better source is found. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 07:47, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- Does the list need to be numbered at all? Jruderman (talk) 19:31, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- The number correspond to the city's numbering system within the Berkeley Landmark program, I don't think you should touch them. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 02:14, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
