Songwriter

[edit]

She doesnt have any songwriting credits. Some IP from Greece keeps restoring it. I'm starting this discussion to find a consensus if this occupation should be included in the lead and/or infobox per MOS:ROLEBIO --FMSky (talk) 01:44, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There's a category of songs purportedly (co-)written by her, Category:Songs written by Laura Pausini. Largoplazo (talk) 01:51, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes most pop-singers have a bunch of co-writing credits, but that doesnt make someone a songwriter --FMSky (talk) 01:52, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So seems like she has co-written a bunch of lyrics in roughly 20 of her 500 songs --FMSky (talk) 01:53, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@FMSky I could report you at ANI per WP:NOPERSONALATTACKS but bother reading essential information before editing; At the 2000-2001 section it clearly says she won Best Songwriter of the Year award. Plus she is often credited as a lyricist in her songs. 62.74.24.239 (talk) 01:54, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That still doesnt not qualify someone as a songwriter per MOS:ROLEBIO, which states that only the most common occupations should be presented in the lead. Additionally, that would make her a lyricist at most --FMSky (talk) 01:56, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It says The album also features the songs "Viaggio con te", which was composed by her father and which was awarded in 2001 with an Italian Lunezia Award for Best Songwriter of the Year --FMSky (talk) 01:59, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most musicians are anyways mentioned as singer-songwriters, it doesn't have them contributing to other artists' songs. Saying she is only a singer would mean she has others 100% writing her songs which is not the case (at least not always). 62.74.24.239 (talk) 02:02, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
