[edit]It is ~30 years since I was here, so I hope someone more local/knowledgable could help.
The article mentions this as a Commissioners' Church - plausible given the lead-mining community at that time - but it is not listed in the 'Commissioners' Churches in Yorkshire' article. Can anyone clarify this?
A file in Commons (mark of a master) indicates that the reredeos is by Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson. Notable enough to mention, I think. Also, any comment on the navy-army-airforce emblems on the altar?
