Notability tag
[edit]HLHJ, can you help establish its WP:NOTABILITY? Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:46, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
Boleyn, I'm sorry, I just made this article on the ground that there was an article on a sub-category which speaks of cultivation and consumption on a scale large enough for notability. Apart from academic papers on genetic data, I do not have sources on it, and the sources in the sub-category article are in Japanese, which sadly I do not read. I can't immediately find the Guiness Record mentioned, either. Searching "小みかん" ("komikan" in Japanese) gets me a lot of hits. Considering that the Sakurajima komikan orange article says "The same species is also grown in Fukuyama in Kirishima along Kagoshima Bay, and this is simply called komikan", I think merging the articles under "komikan" would probably be a good solution, unless I've misunderstood something in my ignorance. Thanks for taking the time to look into it so carefully. It's a really hard one for us as we can't read Japanese. Maybe someone with these skills can help. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:52, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, Boleyn. I've templated for an expert; I'm sure someone on Wikiproject Japan will be able to help. HLHJ (talk) 14:43, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
