Removal of info.
[edit]- Removed the section that states [sic] 'kevis is one of the few state schools which has a CCF force' as it is not a state school.
- I've also removed 'KEVIS is one of the top schools in the country' as it is an unsubstantiated and utterly fallacious statement. The following text, 'regularly gaining 98 to 100% pass rate at GCSE and excellent A-Level results, with many students gaining places at top universties and several more gaining straight A grades.' has also been removed for violation of NPOV.
- Interestingly, I remember plenty of students walking away with 5-6 GCSEs at C, and - in my year, at least - there were only two or perhaps three to get straight As.
- If I remember rightly, the pass rate is 93% - I'll have to dig up the statistics somewhere, but I know for sure it isn't the best school in Louth and is certainly not among the top in the country - Caistor Grammar and even Skegness Grammar outclass it by a significant margin. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.142.101.229 (talk) 00:08, 18 December 2006 (UTC).
- Not the best school in Louth? You must be mad! Alright, it's not the best school in Lincolnshire, let alone the country, but it is the best school academically in Louth. You can look at OFSTED reports, pass rates or anything, but it always gets the best results of any school in Louth. Also, it is a state school, is it not? You don't have to pay to go there. --80.229.152.246 22:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- KEVIS is indeed a state school because it is funded by the state. :] — ∗pace up/ut 10:26, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- As KEVIS is a state school, this information should be put back on? 86.180.45.246 (talk) 13:06, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Cleanup
[edit]I don't like the layout of this article, but I can't exactly put my finger on the reason why. Can anyone help? I do have a few gripes, though:
- Are Team Doyobi notable enough to be included as 'famous students'? I've certainly never heard of them, and I went there. :)
- Someone has added Edward John Eyre and Augustus Charles Hobart-Hampden to the list of famous pupils and Louth residents. Can anyone confirm this? I don't remember hearing of them at KEVIS.
Thanks guys. — ∗pace up/ut 10:31, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Can you also put in that he went to Scaitcliffe school in Englefield Green. I went there too and our only famous pupils were Alfred Lord Tennyson and Richard Branson!
boys only
[edit]the school was boys only until at least August 1964 -- AFAIK the only female student seen there was one pupil from the girls school who attended 'A' level Chemistry and Physics lessons 1962-1964 (she had recently moved to the area and presumably her parents kicked up a fuss about the non-science based syllabus at the girls school) Oniscoid (talk) 21:47, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Reassess
[edit]Upgrading to mid-importance. A very old school with a long history and a few interesting alumni. The school is probably more important than is apparent from the present article. Come back for a re-assessment when you have more content. Dahliarose (talk)
