[edit]Is it known when it was destroyed? AnonMoos (talk) 16:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- According to Xuansang it was destroyed by lightning at least three times and rebuilt. When he arrived in the 7th century he reported it had just suffered from conflagration again and was being repaired. After that I don't know what happened. Perhaps someone else can help out? Not tallest
[edit]The Great Pyramid of Giza, at 481 ft, was taller. Khestwol (talk) 05:02, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
- You're right. Thanks. I improved the reference (with proper page number), and adjusted the wording as well. It says "400ft range" for the stupa, so it could be higher, or smaller. पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 05:13, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
- No problem, thanks. Khestwol (talk) 05:28, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
