Neutral Point of view and/or conflict of interest

[edit]

The fact that this contributor may be personally related to the subject, does not preclude him from originally writing a professional neutral point of view on political historical article on the subject. More importantly, the contributor for the fact that he may be personally related, has provided a wealth of firsthand data, knows through the oral tradition and provided supporting citations, is an authority as far as search and research for many years on the subject. There is no evidence of makeup nor embellishment of the facts surrounding the subject.

So, it can be argued that this is a biographical (not autobiography, for the contributor in not contributing about himself) article, that happens to have a political historical significance; or on the other side, a political historical significance biography that happens to be contributed by a personally and well-versed related person.

The article has been reviewed by academia history scholar (third parties) that are not personally or professionally connected to the contributor nor to the subject, analyzing the sources and citations. And in their opinion, even though there may exist a conflict of interest or a moral hazard, it is neutral point of view, and properly disclosed in the contributor's user page, as it is Wikipedia policy. This user does not represent the subject. Once the article was reviewed and approved, this user has edited so that all links are working to other articles that are being in the process of review and approval, or because when they are finally approved, the title of the article has changed, so links from other articles will not work anymore as the draft was submitted. Not knowing that there is a process to communicate an edit request, on the cases of conflict of interest, this contributor had been making changes. Now I know.
There are three other articles in process of review and approval, which this article will need changes when they are approved. I will keep in mind and request such changes in the near future. Thank you. Fjnovoa (talk) 02:20, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dob/Dod

[edit]

@Netherzone and @Theroadislong I removed the dob/dod from the lead because it did not match the body. I did (I think) find a source for his dod (#3...which seems to be a good bio). However, I do not know Spanish. Do either of you? If so, can you confirm his dob? S0091 (talk) 19:28, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't speak Spanish I'm afraid, I cannot find any reliable source for his birth either. Theroadislong (talk) 19:42, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@S0091 thank you for your improvements. The dob I found was in this citation: [1] on page 90 of the actual booklet (not page 90 of the PDF. But that source also mentions his death as 1925 not 1924, so it's hard to say if it is reliable. Netherzone (talk) 19:44, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I speak and read some Spanish, but it is not my first language and I'm not totally fluent. Netherzone (talk) 19:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
