More history
[edit]I'd like to know more about Itten's life – like what happened to him when the Nazis shut down the Bauhaus? Where did he go? What did he do? Maybe include some pictures of his work, etc. – Morganfitzp 18:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Criticism of Itten?
[edit]I happen to really enjoy the Bauhaus movement, its art, and its followers. Mondrian, Moholy-Nagy and Kandinsky are all artists that I like or admire, and all were influenced by Itten. But the Bauhaus has been closed for 74 years, and there has been considerable backlash against modernism in that time.
I would expect there to have been competing theories of color which emerged during that time, or at least criticism of Itten. I can't find any, and this article doesn't seem to list any.
I'd like to read Itten's work, but I don't feel right simply taking the first name that I come across and taking his work as holy writ. superlusertc 2007 December 10, 16:51 (UTC)
Citation
[edit]The book "Color Me A Season" mentioned in the section "Influence" was unsourced.
The only likely book I found is [1]
Itten, Johannes. (1972) Die Jahreszeiten. Nurnberg: Kunsthalle.
Maybe this item can be added to the Bibliography section?
Also, why "expressionist" in the top summary links to "Expressionist architecture" rather than Expressionism?

White or black colour ?
[edit]I suppose that to make white colour (or black colour) you have to use an already prepared white colour ?
