Three or four times?
[edit]I think the article refers to four different occasions and not three:
- Mk 8:31-33 and Mt 16:21-28
- Mk 9:30-32
- Mt 20:17-19, Mk 10:32-34 and Lk 18:31-34
- Mt 26:1-2
I translated this way to Portuguese. José Luiz disc 21:15, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I have seen your translations. Pretty nice all the way. The sources here seem to say 3 case, I am not sure why, but perhaps because the last case says "crucified" and not specifies that he died. History2007 (talk) 22:05, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks! José Luiz disc 09:56, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Sign of Jonah
[edit]Matthew 12:40 records Jesus saying, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Is this not the first time recorded in Matthew that Jesus predicted his death, or is this seen as too cryptic? (JohnS (talk) 13:27, 2 March 2019 (UTC))

[edit]The article begins, "Early Christian Catacomb painting of Jesus and his disciples, pre-third century.]] " Perhaps this is an old caption that needs to be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BobSe (talk • contribs) 02:12, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
