Veharše
[edit]@Doremo: Why did you revert me? If you would look at the map, you would see that the Veharše hamlet is on top of a hill, so Pod Veharšami is wrong even by simple logic. That's one of the rare mistakes made by Savnik you cited (see ie. mapcarta, another passing mention on city's museum website, another mention of the Veharše version, official page of local community). I strongly suspect the Posočje: A-Ž: enciklopedični priročnik za popotnika is at least partially based on Savnik's Krajevni leksikon Slovenije as many toponyms are mentioned in both (this being one of the examples). - The revert is not personal, but simply restored the information in sources, and so I apologize if it seemed that way. Information on Wikipedia is based on sources, and "Pod Veharšami" is in the cited source. The change to "Veharše" with the cited source indicated that "Veharše" is found in that cited source (which it is not). I've added "Veharše" with another source to attest that version of the name. Looking at the map, Veharše is located in the neighboring settlement of Medvedje Brdo and the cluster of houses in Jelični Vrh is located in a valley below Veharše, and so "Pod Veharšami" is quite logical. Whether it is accurate or not is a separate issue that I can't answer. Doremo (talk) 09:36, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Well, seems like you're going to stick to your sources and I won't debate further on what's acceptable and what not ... To clear your confusion about differentiating between the two, Veharše were split in the past between the municipialities of Idrija and Logatec, but they're still the same settlement. One as part of Jelični Vrh and another as part of Medvedje Brdo (similar story to what happened to Zaplana). That's one big problem where everyone is dependant of Savnik, which is not error-free. - See also "Pod Verharšami" here (p. 80) (that source gives "Veharše", p. 89, as a hamlet of Medvedje Brdo and "Pod Verharšami" as a hamlet of Jelični Vrh). The name form is presumably also in Krajevni leksikon Slovenije (1995) and its recapitulation Priročni krajevni leksikon Slovenije (1996), which I cannot access online, so it is attested beyond Savnik's volume.
