Discography table changes

[edit]

About a month and a half ago, my changes to this table were reverted. I reported a false positive and was advised not to edit this page for a while. I am requesting any user to add to and change the table according to the information in my sandbox. All of the information is correct as of February 17, 2016. In the Dark Souls special of GamerChad, a pre-surgery Kuledud3 appeared, so I think she should be added. Infamous Infamy (talk) 04:58, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please add to the personal life section.

Douglass is currently an atheist, although during his childhood he was a Catholic. [1]

John Patrick Douglass (born June 30, 1988), known online by his YouTube channel name Jacksfilms, is an American YouTube personality, comedian, musician, and rapper. תומר2142 (talk) 13:39, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the "JackAsk and Yesterday I Asked You" section. It doesn't mention that Yesterday I Asked You started as a segment in JackAsk. In the 28th episode of JackAsk, Twitter user TheNathanSweet asked Jack a question, but Jack doesn't answer the question and instead asks his audience. This became a recurring segment on JackAsk, but Jack would come up with questions to ask his audience instead. This segment eventually became its own show, Yesterday I Asked You. It wouldn't allow me to post a link to the episode of JackAsk I am referring to, but it is number 28. 84.9.182.252 (talk) 16:13, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I found a missing word in the article and I would like to edit it. In the article, in a sentence "He voiced the character Jimmy on Smosh's web series, 16-Bit High." there was a missing word in the last part of the sentence 16-bit High, it’s supposed to be 16-bit High School. The playlist created by Smosh Games [1] shows “16-Bit High School”.Danielusrnam (talk) 05:19, 17 December 2018 (UTC) [reply]

@Danielusrnam: Can you provide a source that shows the name of the series definitely was "16-Bit High School"? A quick Google search shows the name in the YouTube titles I see is "16-Bit High", and it's called both names elsewhere. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 15:02, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jacksfilms' OCD

[edit]

The article claims that Jacksfilms has OCD. I did some digging, and it seems to have been added by an IP user in this revision. I've tried to find sources for this, but there's no mention of OCD in his twitter, youtube, or similar. I've gone ahead and added a citation needed tag, but it might make sense to remove it altogether. Vkb123 (talk) 09:51, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jack's Multi-Channel Network

[edit]

The article's infobox states that Jack's Multi-Channel Network is Fullscreen. This has definitely been true, as the "business inquiries" email listed on his Twitter has previously ended in "@fullscreen.com".[1] However, his "business enquiries" email is currently a Gmail address (and has been since around September).[2] Bar Jack publicly posting about it, though, I don't know how anyone would be able to find out what the situation currently is with this. Fate of YGS/JackAsk

[edit]

Last October, Douglass announced that he wanted to end YGS and JackAsk, and he followed through with a JackAsk finale. However, despite wanting to end YGS before the end of 2020, he never did, and a recently uploaded episode of YGS hints that he no longer wants to cancel it and that it's here to stay. Also, some of his tweets hint that JackAsk is being revived, too. Should they both be revived, should the notes that they were once cancelled stay in the article? It might be confusing considering how short and ill-discussed their cancellations were by Douglass. Apart from a very quick mention in "The Last JackAsk", some viewers might not know YGS was ever cancelled at all. Thanks, Askarion💬✒️ 14:40, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About Jacksfilms' heritage

[edit]

Currently Wikipedia states that Jack Douglass, better known as Jacksfilms, is "primarily" of Irish ancestry. However, I saw his parents and his mother has much more Irish blood than his father, so this means that he is part-Irish (52%, which is approximately really close to being HALF Irish). The other half of his heritage, which is from his father's side, would've most likely included English and German with distant Greek, Swiss-Italian, (Cypriot) Turkish, Scandinavian (mainly Finnish), and possibly other, according to his DNA test. However, because this is going to be, and of course, already IS disputed as a matter of fact, there are not many reliable sources, especially source videos from YouTuber (which I'm not entirely sure if this is a good idea to use those YT videos as a good source for the work I was planning to write in this main article), to prove this.Lil' Jimmy Da Crinja Ninja (talk) 05:54, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New picture is needed.

[edit]

The 2019 picture is extremely outdated, since Jacksfilms has a beard now. Someone please edit it to a newer picture. MitochondriaIsThePowerhouse (talk) 00:52, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • While you're having someone to find an image of Jacksfilms with beard, watch out for the proper license! Note that most of them are not free to use. So if this is impossible, just remove the old image of Jacksfilms in 2019. Thank you for understanding.Lil' Jimmy Da Crinja Ninja (talk) 08:15, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
When there are none or not much of the recent pictures of Jacksfilms, a user on Wikipedia, DaanTW, wanted the image to kept where it was originally placed, which was the infobox. However, I just want the image to be placed on the right of the Personal Life section, which seems to make a better appearance, for the sake of leaving the slot for a new image of him. Lil' Jimmy Da Crinja Ninja (talk) 09:06, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Just wanted to share my thoughts on this.
While I think it's good you actively think about how to improve an article by updating an image, things simply aren't always that easy on Wikipedia. Sometimes we're just unlucky that there isn't enough free or licensed material that we can use. The article about Markiplier, another reasonably sized content creator, has a lead image from 2018, but I personally think it looks just fine.
So until we find a free image and more recent image that we can use, it's either the current one from 2019, or one from 2014 or even earlier (looking at images with or about Jacksfilms on Wikimedia Commons). I also think that leaving the slot open for a potentially new image that has not been uploaded yet is rather unnecessary. So again, if you see an infobox image that should be updated while there is no updated file available, please just let things as they are.
~~ DaanTW (talk) 17:03, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I got what you said. I decided to leave this as is for now, whenever no one can find any newer images due to a high level of difficulty in recent free image search. In addition, I would also like to share my thoughts on this in response to clear things off.
Honestly it would still have the same effect even if you leave a slot inside the infobox to wait for a newer image, in which you said was unnecessary as it isn't as easy to find way more recent images due to restrictions and laws enforced by Wikipedia. It doesn't matter, and it's okay. However, an art might be able to replace this. If we have many skilled artists out in the world, they could make it quicker in time to attempt drawing a portrait of Jacksfilms. This would be totally fine, since the photo they use for this page is licensed under their own work. For example, take the Lord Vinheteiro article which used to have the image but had to be deleted due to multiple (fraud, I think) claims to have it nominated for removal. Happily, we could have one person do their job of drawing that living person the Wiki page is dedicated to, and get it uploaded to the infobox inside that page. But, well, that's not really needed for this page, does it? Also seems pretty recent-decent to me.
I'm gonna close this message since I fully understand your thoughts.

The reason I removed the statics updated day when in the Twitch box is because there is a box below that is a statics updated day when box so thus it is redundant to have two of them. Thecornerwiki (talk) 05:43, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

SSSniperwolf Apology

[edit]

In the section listing SSSniperwolf's apology, I keep adding the fact that it is highly criticized, which is true, and necessary information, but it keeps being deleted/changed/reverted. This should not be removed, as without it, people could assume that it was/is a perfectly fine apology, that fixed the situation. Which is not true. 2600:8804:1B80:25F0:DD72:8FCA:C0A8:AFB1 (talk) 16:18, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Big uncited chunk

[edit]

"On November 4, 2023, Douglass posted a video to YouTube about the situation. He revealed that he and his wife had been doing "pretty rough to say the least", and said that they were scared to leave their home after the doxxing, and were considering moving out. He also thanked his fans for the support after the doxxing incident, and revealed his plans on repurposing the JJJacksfilms channel. He stated that viewers could send him content through a Google Form, and that he would react to it, giving constructive criticism and advice in order to better their content, along with marking a Bingo board based on what happened in the video. He continued to stress the importance of crediting the creators, providing links to videos submitted and only reacting to videos he had permission to react to."

Can anybody find a link to the video in question? Probably not great to have a massive summary of a video that isn't linked anywhere on the page. CongealedBox (talk) 01:37, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
