The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. Both sides make good points, but there is not enough firm evidence to see a consensus after all this time. — Amakuru (talk) 07:12, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

- Question and no others? Books hit on Jaafar Mohamed Nimery In ictu oculi (talk) 12:56, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Endorse: most sources indicate the most common spelling is Mohamed. DaltonCastle (talk) 22:40, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- There seem to be more sources using "Jaafar Mohamad". — AjaxSmack 00:30, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Weak oppose, the Malay version is at ms:Jaafar bin Haji Muhammad (unfortunately, its sources are now dead links). The one source I revived ([1]) does use "Mohamed" spelling. Johori Government website, OTOH, uses "Muhammad". It seems those are alternative spellings, and with so sparse data I'd rather go after Malay wiki, unreliable as it is. - P.S. Not to be confused with Sudanian politician Gafar Mohammad Nimeiri, also with multiple transcriptions, to whom many Google hits will go. No such user (talk) 11:56, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
