[edit]

With some c-e's, Aigest, Constantine and I we can bring this article easily to GA class. --Sulmues (talk) 13:21, 31 August 2010 (UTC) I'll do my best Aigest (talk) 13:22, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP Italy

[edit]

I have added WP Italy wikiproject since the article also includes Italy invading Albania. Have also left it unrated for someone in WP Italy wikiproject to rate it. Adamdaley (talk) 22:29, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Content I removed

[edit]

I removed it because it was unreferenced and I do not believe there ever was an official "Italian Empire". 216.8.148.227 (talk) 15:27, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

in the first instance unreferenced material just needs to be tagged, using Template:Citation needed or a similar tag. That allows other editors to identify a need to provide a source rather than removing it completely. I suggest you tag it. Peacemaker67 (send... over) 21:33, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

casualty sources?

[edit]

it would be very helpful if someone could get a definitive source on albanian and italian casualties in the entire invasion. the infobox numbers have been changed several times and it'd be good to pin down the statistics and have it sourced within the infobox. Personal Union

[edit]

While it there are clear that Albanian was invaded and King Zog forced into exile, the concept of Personal Union it is not in accordance to the definition. Thus I suggest it should be edited.QTeuta (talk) 17:32, 8 February 2015 (UTC)QTeuta[reply]

It is clear in a number of sources, and Lemkin even provides translated copies of the legislation. Do you have a reliable source that says it wasn't a personal union, or are you relying on the WP article? Thanks, Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 20:46, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In all honesty, I saw the definition of Personal Union and saw that was not fit for the situation of occupied Albania. As I researched this term was used from the Italians to legitimate their presence in Albania. Therefor it may have been duplicated. As it is clearly stated in a letter to the New York Times, from an Albanian delegation in the case of Albania; Incorporate Union was an appropriate term to use as the Italian invasion was an outright annexation. Thank you for following up.QTeuta (talk) 01:07, 16 February 2015 (UTC)QTeuta[reply]

Orphaned references in Italian invasion of Albania

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Italian invasion of Albania's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 12:14, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Casualties

[edit]

I think that we should compare and contrast all different estimates and their sources. Fischer discusses casualties according to Italians, Albanians and modern estimates: Reports on the number of casualties differed rather significantly. The townspeople of Durrës maintained that the Italians lost four hundred. Although Italian propaganda claimed that Italy lost only twelve men in the entire invasion, it is possible that approximately two hundred Italians were killed at Durrës alone and that they may have lost as many as seven hundred in all.--Maleschreiber (talk) 22:23, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
