The correct title of the book is Saggio storico sulla moralità nella (not "della") Resistenza (A Civil War. Historical Essay On the Morality in (not "of") the Resistance) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.253.56.231 (talk) 11:05, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

{{prod}}

[edit]

Pretty significant historical event, should have its own article outside of the WW2 one. I've kind of forgotten about starting the page though, and haven't gotten around to translating the it.wiki article. --NEMT 15:37, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would have sworn the subject was covered elsewhere under a different name. But it would would have been perjury! Obviously an important topic so I’ll remove the {{prod}}Ian Spackman 19:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation error

[edit]

The article is (based on) a translation from the Italian Wiki. As such it contains an error in the very beginning where it defines the Italian Civil War was as the period between 8 Sep 1943 and 2 May 1945. The correct translation of the original is "The Italian Civil War refers to the events happened in the period between 8 Sep 1043 and...". The difference is not trivial: as is it looks like what mattered most was the infighting between Italians while the Germans and the Allies were "providing support" to the factions, just like the Italian Campaign of WW2 was a sideshow. In fact the infighting between Italians was the sideshow, what determined the outcome were the operations between Allies and Germany. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.205.194.4 (talk) 16:11, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

After reading several sources, yes, you are right. This article is problematic, both generally and in various specific points.Barjimoa (talk) 13:31, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, however, it was corrected like this: the article should focus on the infighting between Italians, as per the title of the article. LukeWiller (talk) 13:51, 3 May 2024 (UTC).[reply]

Attempt to improve the article

[edit]

I tried to correct the grammatical mistakes in the article, also paying attention to style, tone and clarity, and trying to improve on those as well. I slightly rephrased unclear parts, referring to the original italian version whenever necessary. Finally, I corrected the initial translation error, as pointed out above. This is a link to the sandbox where these changes have been made, in case you would like to see it; I would appreciate any kind of comment and/or feedback: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Destiny1016/sandbox2Destiny1016 (talk) 03:47, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

More citations needed

[edit]

@Buidhe:, to me the tag you added seems excessive, the article has in fact 163 notes. In fact, some parts are lacking in notes: it would be a problem for you to add some {{cn}} to make it easier for me to find sources for the phrases that need them ? Thanks. LukeWiller (talk) 15:42, 4 March 2022 (UTC).[reply]

@Buidhe: Thank you very much, you made my work a lot easier. I will fix the article shortly. Thanks again. Regards. --LukeWiller (talk) 22:57, 4 March 2022 (UTC).[reply]
