Actually most people in Indonesia play football not badminton. But like usually the most not mean the best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.118.24.10 (talk • contribs)
1998
I'm surprised there's no mention f the infamous Asian Cup game against Thailand in 1998. Jooler (talk) 10:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
This article
Is a vast list of names with no attribution - this is English Wikipedia and WP:RS, WP:V are necessary for an articles WP:N to stand, and as there is no effort to identify source of information - this article might have to be challenged if added material is not continually added with no attempt at all to WP:CITE SatuSuro 08:51, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Merger proposal
I don't see the point in a separate article about this team's results - Indonesia Football Yearly Progession - even if it was spelled correctly. The progess article is nothing more than a table, and in any case is discussed in this article Davidelit (Talk) 11:31, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- This merge proposal has been open for over three years now. While there is no opposition to a merge, I don't think it really makes sense, due to the size and scope of the main article. Merging a large amount of tables into that would overwhelm it. So I am removing the merge tag and closing the discussion. WTF? (talk) 15:31, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
Current Squad
Who ever create the mess in the current squad, please fixed it !!!! This irresponsible person deleted one of the goalies in current squad.Andy4190 (Talk)
Coach
The new coach of Indonesia is Andi Darussalam Tabusalla; Manage the team for 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup. [1] Andy4190 (Talk)
Suggestion
I would like to suggest changes in the following sentences.
- Despite the nation's size and population, Indonesia is not among the strongest teams in the AFC. --> there is no correlation between the size of a country with the strength of their football. Although there are some example, as Brazil, but it doesn't say anything. China, Russia, even US are big countries, but they are not the best in football.
- However, they are considered as one of the strongest teams in Southeast Asia along with Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. --> This sentence is less useful and ambiguous. Strongest along with most of other countries in the region? it doesn't make it the strongest any more. :)
- I agree with you. These sentences shall be changed or removed. Have you already got any suggestions? 110.138.104.119 (talk) 15:49, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
The Shirt Badge
Indonesia national football team use Garuda for the shirt badge. They don't use the PSSI Logo on the Shirt !!! Please fix the mess on Badge, and put the image back .Andy4190(Talk)
- But in other national football team articles, the organization logo is used to fill the "Badge" space. So, the PSSI logo is more relevant to be put as the badge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steven Andrew Scarface220995 (talk • contribs) 15:59, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Because in most national teams, they use the association logo as badge. But not all. See Germany national football team. They don't use association logo for their badge. Guybrush1979(Talk)
- Somebody have change the shirt badge again, I think this person who change does not realized that Indonesia national football team wear garuda as a shirt badge in their uniform. Can someone change the shirt badge to garuda. Andy4190(Talk)
Benny Dollo
Someone should write and add Benny Dollo( ex coach of Indonesia) in the History section; He was good coach but he didn't make the team strong enough to be qualify to 2011 Asian Cup. Andy4190(Talk)
Marcus Horison
Referring to PSSI's website http://www.pssi-football.com/id/view_news_111082.php?id=2681, Marcus Horison was called up for the latest training camp. Please add him to the squad list. Guybrush1979 (talk) 13:52, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
2010's kit
Any reference about 2010 kits? did it change back to "red and red" as in this article? Guybrush1979 (talk) 14:34, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism on the Squad list
Someone has vandalized the squad list on Indonesia football team. Can somebody fixed it please. And also please tell this person not to do it again. Andy4190 (talk)
Notable Players
I think we should put a kind of criteria or something, so that not everybody will be put in this list. This list should contain only 2-3 players from every decade. Guybrush1979 (talk) 06:25, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Opinion
- This is just an opinion. Its does effect any manner on this page. Please dont get offended.*
Indonesia "Timnas" has become weak after the removal of Nurdin Halid. It seem the team does not play well as use to. I dont know what's wrong with the Indonesia team but i understand they are getting weaker ever year. It such ashamed for the Indonesian fan who could not see their team win again. It seem Indonesia FA (PSSI) does really want any changes as you can see much of them are just in politics. Politic and football could not mixed together. This is the reason why Timnas could never win any international football competition like AFF Suzuki Cup (Regional), AFC Asian Cup (Asian regional). I hope someday Timnas could do better playing in international football. Wester. Inc (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:21, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Player records
The RSSSF source for most capped and top scorers hasn't been updated since 2005. It doesn't include some of the more notable players that were active from the 50's to 70's with the likes of Ramang, Soetjipto Soentoro, Abdul Kadir (Indonesian footballer), Jacob Sihasale and Waskito to name but a few. All would most likely at least make the top 10 of the top scorers list and perhaps even make the top 10 for most capped. Therefore the listed top 10 for both is safely/easily considered inaccurate. Head-to-head record accuracy
Is the current head-to-head record really accurate? Seeing other national temams record against Indonesia. The matches are totally different. Even on several websites like 11v11
International matches for Dutch East Indies
While FIFA officially consider Indonesia national team is a successor of Dutch East Indies national (selection?) team, they are actually formed from different FA. Much like Northern Ireland and Rep of Ireland, or China PR and Chinese Taipei, or North Vietnam and South Vietnam. Dutch East Indies team was selected by NIVU/NIVB. Indonesia (PSSI) only start making national team after 1951. We have separate articles for all the above national teams. We also have separate articles for USSR, CIS and Russia national team. Finally, we also have separate articles for Yugoslavia and its successor national teams.

Can someone please semi-protect this article. There's a lot of people vandalizing. JoshuaInWiki (talk) 12:11, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- Not done. I don't see enough evidence of vandalism on this page to justify protection. It is not helped by your failure to leave informative edit summaries about reverting any vandalism. Had you undone an edit and said 'reverting vandalism', and then warned an editor, then there might be more reason to consider protection. None of the recent editors have had any edits left for them to warn about vandalism, so I'm afraid I need to point out that nobody WP:OWNS an article. If you and other editors are disagreeing about what should go in, this would be a 'content dispute, and then you should use this page to discuss any relevant issues. I hope this explanation helps you understand my reluctance at this time. Nick Moyes (talk) 22:46, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
Cap numbers
@Danisamsoel: @OrangTangerang53: When taking cap numbers from National Football Teams, include the "non-FIFA matches" as they are still counted by the national team, as you can see by comparing Fachrudin Aryanto on RSSSF. Felixsv7 (talk) 08:16, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Danisamsoel: Why do you believe that the stats that I inputted are incorrect? Felixsv7 (talk) 13:29, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Danisamsoel: Just to give an example, this is Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos to use two high profile examples, both of whom count the "non-FIFA" caps amongst their total. Felixsv7 (talk) 11:05, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Sugiyono Caniago: and :@Danisamsoel: Why are you both reverting the cap numbers when the discrepancy has been explained? Can you please engage in conversation rather than surreptitious editing? Felixsv7 (talk) 15:33, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
