Joseph Davies O.B.E was apparently the the first ever mayor of Hemsworth. He also helped in the construction of a few streets in the neighbouring towns of Fitzwilliam and was also involved in the the foundation of Hemsworth water park.

Standardising the entry

Hi, I'm just working on editing this page. I think Hemsworth deserves a better, more complete, and interesting article. I've added a history section, based on a thorough privately printed booklet by John Bulley. I'll move on to other sections in coming days. All assistance and comments gratefully received.
