His Excellency ?
[edit]He won't be sworn in for a month. Is it appropriate to refer to him as "His Excellency" in the infobox? Does he have a right to that honorific because of a previous office? Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 06:11, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Mr Serjeant Buzfuz has a good point. We should not refer to him to a title that has not officially been granted to him. Once he is sworn-in then it would be appropriate to update the info box. Perhaps we can change it to "His Excellency Elect"? In the United States, when a candidate wins an election but has not been sworn-in, the title "President Elect" is the official title. Jurisdicta (talk) 16:40, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- I've never heard of "His Excellency Elect" as a title. I don't think we should make one up, since they're based on protocol standards. It already says "President elect" underneath the picture. I would suggest just taking it off until he's sworn in. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 17:27, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
Puff Piece
[edit]This definitely sounds like a puff piece, a political advertisement. Is there anyone who can write a serious article on this guy? Arrecife (talk) 02:31, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
As of today, monday 27/06/'22 this so-called "centre-right" politician (advertisement signifier for what is actually a far-right politician masking as centre-right.Pinochet anybody?!) is responsible for the deaths of 6 innocent people who peacefully demonstrated against his asocial economic policies (Source: national news Belgium 27/06/'22). - @TDKR Chicago 101: Sorry but I will have to fail this. Per DYK's newness rules, an article must be created, 5x expanded, converted from a redirect, made into a good article, or moved to the mainspace in the past seven days. There is no indication of that having happened. If you would like to nominate more articles (which I hope you do), the newness criteria will have to be followed. Infobox image
[edit]A user (@Eauho:) has been undoing the current image on the infobox, however I believe the image they are proposing is in bad quality in comparison to the one already on the infobox. Rafael Correa's infobox had a poor quality image on its infobox (one that appeared more official) however it was reverted to a better quality one (the current one we see). My argument is that the image Eauho is proposing, while it has Lasso wearing the presidential sash, is in poorer quality than the current one used which is better in resolution. I'd like to hear other opinions. TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 11:57, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
