Ethnic GermansGerman diaspora – This article is apparently about Germans living abroad and not people of German ethnicity. Naming this article "German diaspora" would be consistent with similliar articles on wikipedia like Japanese diaspora, Russian diaspora etc... Krakkos (talk) 21:08, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in German diaspora

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of German diaspora's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "dw.de":

  • From Germans: "Alemanes en Chile: entre el pasado colono y el presente empresarial | Sociedad |". DW.DE. 31 March 2011. Retrieved 2013-01-07.
  • From German Brazilian: Geraldo Hoffmann (2004-07-25). ""Brasil alemão" comemora 180 anos | Brasil | Deutsche Welle | 25.07.2004". DW.de. Retrieved 2011-09-19.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 09:42, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Germans in Latin America

[edit]

2,000,000 are less than 2% of mexican population not 3,5% so I edited that. Please check the numbers of German descent in Colombia, Guatemala and Venezuela, in the case of Venezuela and Guatemala the citations only talk about German inmigration to those countries nothing about descent, and in the case of Colombia says nothing about German descent and german inmigration to Colombia, thanks.Ignn (talk) 19:06, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nicaragua is the same case, [2] only talk about immigrations, and Costa Rica only information of bilateral relations, [3]. Accordign to these image: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:German_ancestry_by_country.png, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua are the only Central American countries with more than 100,000 german origin people (mostly partial). --186.151.116.171 (talk) 23:54, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
