Friedrich Ritter physician?

There is some strange stuff about a physician called Friedrich Ritter and an alleged murder mystery, I am guessing this was a different person? "In 1929, a strange German doctor, Friedrich Ritter — dentist, vegetarian and philosopher — arrived on the island with his female assistant, Dore Strauch." (Pierre Constant, The Galapagos Islands, p. 35). Also see [1], [2]. There is some information about Friedrich Ritter and Dore Strauch on the Floreana Island article.
