Freeform WW v. ABC Family WW
[edit]per Califorina business search as of 1/13/2016, ABC Family Worldwide, Inc (Entity Number: C1991622) is still its legal name.. Spshu (talk) 00:04, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- Bloomberg also lists the company as "ABC Family Worldwide" as of 1/22/2016. –Dark Cocoa Frosting (talk) 13:55, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
Requested move 14 January 2016
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved. The page has been moved to ABC Family Worldwide by User:ViperSnake151. Malcolmxl5 (talk) 07:12, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
Freeform Worldwide Inc. → ABC Family Worldwide Inc. – This page has been moved from ABC Family Worldwide Inc. to Freeform Worldwide Inc. when the TV channel ABC Family was rebranded as Freeform. However, there are no sources given that also the company that operates the TV channel was renamed, and the California Secretary of State Business search confirms this. Dark Cocoa Frosting (talk) 22:04, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- Weak Support as researching editor that looked it up. Weak support because of common name issue, as Freeform channel is the main operation of ABC Family WW, but on the other hand it has been know as ABC Family WW for a longer time. International Family Entertainment, Inc. (Entity Number: C1820188, Date Filed: 04/29/1992, Status: ACTIVE) still exists thus could should probable carry the common name of Freeform. However, the President of ABC Family Worldwide Tom Ascheim is currently using the title President, Freeform. Also with its weak identity, ABCFWW's secondary operation & production company ProdCo, Inc. will most like jump to Freeform identity. While ABC Spark licensing being its only unit anchor to ABC Family WW name. Can see it stay at FFWW, Inc. with trade name listed as Freeform Worldwide (with real name of ABCFWW). In any regards the "Inc." should be dropped per WP:NCCORP. Spshu (talk) 23:49, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment - Actually, I believe Ascheim is the President of the network (Freeform), NOT its parent company (ABCFWW). 76.235.248.47 (talk) 11:34, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Strong support - There is NO proof, NO evidence whatsoever, that has been put forth showing that ABCFWW, Inc. has been re-named to reflect its flagship subsidiary (Freeform)'s re-branding. Even though the network has been re-branded, its parent company has NOT. So, until someone can show that ABCFWW has indeed been re-branded to Freeform Worldwide, the article pagename should be reverted back to ABCFWW, Inc. 76.235.248.47 (talk) 03:48, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
- Note: I already moved it back to ABC Family Worldwide; the "Inc." and stuff is not usually included in article titles to begin with. ViperSnake151 Talk 01:53, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

ABC Family Worldwide → Freeform Worldwide
[edit]ABC Family Worldwide → Freeform Worldwide - Since January 2016, the company has been renamed to "Freeform Worldwide", so the page name should be moved to the new name. 101blazertrail (talk) 03:22, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
some of the assets may have been owned by Disney before the merger
[edit]some of the assets which have been owned by Marvel had been owned by Disney long before the merger because 10 years before the merger Disney acquired the assets of Marvel but Fox still owned some of the assets like the Fantastic Four and X-Men 2603:6000:D000:2:75B3:7874:D869:2006 (talk) 02:16, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
Rebrand to Freeform Group
[edit]Because ABC Family changed their name to Freeform, "ABC Family Worldwide" should stay as "Freeform Group". FlapjackRulez (talk) 18:26, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- The channel was renamed to "Freeform" but there's no evidence the subsidiary behind it was renamed to "Freeform Group" as well. Do you have any reliable sources confirming that?— Starforce13 19:58, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
