Think it was closed a lot later than 1930 as my Uncle was station master there until 1966. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.10.253.207 (talk • contribs) 15:22, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- According to Butt (1995), it closed to passengers om 22 September 1930. Maybe it remained open for goods - goods-only stations would have had staff, and the topmost grade of the station staff would have been stationmaster until the general renaming of staff grades in the mid-1960s. --Redrose64 (talk) 23:25, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- According to Clinker (1988), it closed to goods on 10 August 1964. Lamberhurst (talk) 08:33, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
