Fable (album) → Yuyan (album) – There is Yuyan, a person. Anyway, 'yuyan' (寓言) is translated into Fable or Legend by various sources. However, amount of reliable sources are very scarce, and the following sources were published 10 years after first release of this album: China Post, CRI, China Daily, and Reuters. I assume that they must have used Wikipedia or a fansite as a translator. I must not conclude either English title as commonly used in terms of reliable sources. We could rely on MOS:ALBUM, WP:TITLE, WP:PINYIN, or any other guideline or policy. George Ho (talk) 07:22, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I'm not so sure about this one. CMJ New Music Report - 2001 12 31 p44 has "FAYE WONG Fable" only 1 year after it was released. That isn't citogenesis from Wikipedia. With Homan and Jeffries and EMI Japan that's 4 sources. That's more than any of the other Faye Wong RMs, and also less conflicting titles than the other Faye Wong RMs. It may be because "Fable" is a very bread and butter word, difficult to mistranslate, rather than the complicated puns in some of her other albums - such as Faye/Non-Decadent Sound, or tricky term Fuzao. I think if this was a Japanese album EMI Japan plus 3 okay sources is probably where we'd go with English. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:28, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, as IMHO "Fable" is sufficiently well sourced to override MOS:ALBUM's call for romanisation. Since EMI Japan were calling it Fable, the nominator's assumption seems misplaced. – Fayenatic London 12:46, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Broken English

Other versions[edit source] A "Deluxe" version included a VCD with footage of Faye Wong's commercial for Head & Shoulders shampoo.[7]

The format for track listings of foreign-language albums was discussed at Wikipedia_talk:No_original_research/Archive_56#Translations_into_English_of_album_and_song_titles. I believe the format here follows the consensus that was reached there.
