Regarding Deletion of Awards Section:

None of the three awards listed were verifiable, in fact, two of the three do not existed, namely the claimed category under the People's Choice Award. The Escapist has garnered no wins from the Webby Awards either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Informer3X (talkcontribs) 20:57, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vertified and sourced. Try harder next time.123.243.68.243 (talk) 12:48, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Drinking Games/Media Sandwhich

[edit]

Moved Drinking Games from CURRENT to PAST; the makers stated that their contract for the series is over and that they do not intend to make new episodes. Added the Media Sandwhich podcast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.45.0.118 (talk) 18:42, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Sterling

[edit]

A Jim Sterling article was redirected to link here a couple of months ago, then of course Jim had to leave and go solo. I tried to revive the article but honestly couldn't find enough reliable sources to write a decent bio, so I've listed it for deletion. Thought editors of this article might be interested.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on The Escapist (magazine). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Rebranding and name change

[edit]

Since September 2018, The Escapist has implemented its website rebranding and its name has now been changed to "Escapist Magazine".

I'm struggling to change the name of the article to reflect this so please could this be carried out by an admin user. It would also be appreciated if the Disambiguation page for "Escapist" was changed too to reflect this. Wikibenboy94 (talk) 17:02, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Re-rebranding

[edit]

As of April 21, 2020, they've re-rebranded back to just "The Escapist" and their Publisher's Club as "The Escapist+"

Protecting the article

[edit]

With the recent reports of mass resignations and Yahtzee Croshaw announcing his retirement (allegedly) this article is likely to be filled with speculation or misinformation. 73.111.148.178 (talk) 04:38, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Preemptive protection is generally avoided. With 4+ hours since the announcement of Croshaw's resignation (not retirement) and only one revert so far, I doubt the article will even need protection at all. Rhain (he/him) 04:43, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
