Missing page numbers

[edit]

@McbCC1, thanks for your work on this article. Would you be able to add page numbers to your citations? Right now they cite the entire book, making it unlikely or impossible for a reader to verify the citation. There are a few ways to do this but as one example of short footnotes {{sfn}}, see La Salute è in voi. czar 11:49, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can also use Template:rp if you hate sfn for whatever reason, but this might make czar cry a little bit. What you don't want to do is edit the bits in the <ref> tags directly to add specific page numbers, since this will make everyone cry a little bit. -- asilvering (talk) 15:04, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd contend that using {{rp}} will also make readers cry a little bit but, yes, definitely an improvement over no page citations at all! czar 15:32, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Scope

[edit]

The scope of the current article is in limbo between Escape crops in general and Escape crops specific to Zomia (in SE Asia). If there is no further expansion or cleanup forthcoming, it might fit better within the scope of the existing section on Zomia as part of basic detail on describing how those populations function. Alternatively, it can expand into an article on escape crops in general, but that would need a whole lot more effort. In the event of a merge, I'm not sure what can even initially be transferred as none of the claims are sourced to specific passages but the entire book or book chapter. czar 17:59, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
