Should the E3 articles be renamed to “E3 *year*”?

E3 conventions are almost always referred to as “E3 *year*” rather than “Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018,” even in other Wikipedia articles, so every time an E3 convention is mentioned, the wikilink is a redirect. Per WP:COMMONNAME, the most commonly used name should be the title of an article, as long as it’s an official name.

I’ve never read or heard “Electronic Entertainment Expo” anywhere but on Wikipedia, so should these articles not be renamed? Interqwark ^{talk contribs} 15:10, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

No, it is still properly called the Electronic Entertainment Expo, E3 is just its abbreviation. People outside the video game or tech industry will not know what E3 is by that abbreviation. --Masem (t) 21:34, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

E3 highlight

Existing games established at E3 to be on new platforms

In cases of established games (like Fortnite) that are newly announced on new platforms, I think we should list all existing platforms but use some type of highlighting (like bold) to indicate the E3 new platform. It looks wrong to say, for example "Fortnite Battle Royale Switch" because it was out for several platforms already. But we can do "Fortnite Battle Royale PC / PS4 / Switch / Xbox One / mobile" is clearer. --Masem (t) 18:58, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
