Effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean → Effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Eastern Caribbean – Hi. I have noticed that the article is named “Effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean”, but the only mention of the Bahamas is in the background. I have requested this article be moved to “Effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Eastern Caribbean”. -Shift674-🌀 contribs 02:24, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- Comment — Just wondering, could the title possible be Effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico, or is that too long. Stay safe, Cyclone Toby 01:51, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose both as unneeded disambiguation. NoahTalk 01:17, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support: I wouldn't say it's unnecessary. Effects of Hurricane Dorian in The Bahamas exists, and The Bahamas are part of the Caribbean. So I feel like a better disambiguation is needed to show that The Bahamas isn't within the scope of this article. Of course it's important to note that it's spelled Caribbean, not Carribean. - Oppose, I think it's unnecessary. The Bahamas aren't technically part of the Caribbean, they're just lumped in for convenience. Given that we already have the Bahamas sub-article, I agree with the above in putting a disambiguation, rather than adding an extra word to the title. The title, after all, should be as concise and precise as possible. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:58, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose, no need for disambiguation. MarioJump83! 05:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
