Originality - Does it really matter?
[edit]Many critics have labeled Early Man as "copycats" or "plagiarizers" because their songs imitate classic metal acts like Black Sabbath or Judas Priest. But, does that automatically qualify them as throwaway material? On the 1st listen of Closing In, that was the question that kept popping in my head. But then, I realized... what metal band HASN'T borrowed from Sabbath or Priest? Another thing I realized: rock itself got its starts by "stealing" (or covering) songs from the blues. Just look at Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, or even The Who. Even Sabbath started out as a blues cover band, Earth. So when you think about it, it's not really plagiarism. Metal is just trying to start anew, just like rock did in the 1960s.
Take some time to think about it, and then it'll all make sense. When that happens, you'll be ready to rock! URFG 23:23, 28 March 2007 (UTC)URFG

Origin?
[edit]The first paragraph talks about Brooklyn and LA, but the info box says "Ohio." This seems inconsistent, or at least, unexplained. 74.71.216.91 (talk) 22:18, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
