Pronunciation on the Isle of Wight

This edit caught my eye. I reverted it after looking at [1], [2] and other web pages which agree. I did see [3], though, which disagrees. Very interesting question. I personally have never heard anyone say the word other than rhymes with 'cover', but that does not mean that there are no other pronunciations. The word does not appear in W.H. Long's dictionary of IW dialect (1886). I will look into this further. Also, of your references only 2 seems to be relevant.
